I contacted them yesterday, they said it'll be another week. The guy who responded also told me that last time they dynoed it, it was pushing 200whp.

They didn't share that with me, but I'm guessing that too is significantly.

And 200WHP is not just nice, its mind blowing from an R18A perspective :P

For the R18 at least, I don't consider that much power all that thrilling, UNLESS it also has a lot of low end torque, say 200 lb-ft or better from say 1,600 rpms.

Sub'd as Im very interested. Just recently got the itch to go F/I. If I could get anything over 200whp I'd be happy.

Has anyone considered trying a remote turbo setup like jnaut is doing on his si? its mounted at the rear of the car on the exhaust. requires alot of plumbing but it might be something to consider for this application.

Some guy was telling me about this kind of turbo, he said they will work with any car, can anyone clear this idea for me? Pros and Cons of doing that will be great.

you need some sort of pump to pump oil to/from the turbo. i dont think it requires an intercooler due to the distance the exhaust travels to the turbo and then to the motor the heat should be reduced significantly. i believe jnaut is using a air/water setup but i dont think its needed.

I wonder how this head will respond to boost. Forced induction
makes a ton of heat and pressure between the turbo and the exaust
Manifold. This engine just has an aluminum hole connected to an exaust
pipe. I am concerned how the thin-wall soft alunimum manifold cavity
on this engine will put up with this type of abuse. I can say for sure
this design was not built with boost in mind from Honda.

Only time will tell.

There is a guy that has been runing a turbo on his R18 for a year now, and his motor has been fine.

I also heard that the plastic manifold is very strong, so it will hold boost just fine.

Am sure honda is not that stupid to not know there will be people boositng the R18.

There is also some guy in Brazil with a custom turbo, and some others in different places.
