Pre-install exhaust planning

I am waiting for my SRT kit to arrive, and am currently looking into a full race exhaust, but am a little confused.

a) Will the full race exhaust bolt right up to the downpipe? or will it require an adapter?

kind of a stupid question but,

b) will the turbo downpipe bolt up to the stock cat back exhaust.?

You will need a test pipe or run stock cat.

The full-race exhaust will bolt right up using the 3 in adapter. The downpipe should also bolt up to the stock exhaust with no need for a test pipe. The only issue you may run into is the sizing differences. The downpipe is 3'' and the stock catback is 2.25'' IIRC.

See this doesnt make sense to me, doesn't the SRT downpipe eliminate the cat?

This makes a bit more sense to me, now the 3" adapter, is that the one that comes WITH the exhaust, or something needed to be purchased seperately?

I guess the whole big question is, does the full race exhaust, reach AND bolt up to the latest SRT downpipe without any extra pieces/adapters that I would need to purchase? (using only the pieces that come with the full race exhaust)

Yes the 3'' adaptor comes with the full race exhaust.

I don't think it does, on their site it is listed as a additional piece

I bought the full-race exhaust from them, and it came with a piece to attach to the header/downpipe that is 3'' with a 3 bolt flange. The thing that is is extra is a piece that reduces it to 2.75'' for those that have smaller header outlets or something like that.

Just buy the Full-Race with no extras and you'll be ok.
