And i will be raising the boost to atleast 11psi(right now boosting 7/8, my car is manual btw) once i buy the Intake manifold. so stay tune later for some more dyno videos and numbers. and i will say the Auto tranny holds the power good, since sohcBoost car is auto and he has been turbo for a while now and has not had any issues that i know of. |

these are some sweeet rides. real clean, but i have a quick question, when you turbo an r18 and tune it, has anyone changed the effect of the ivtec on the r18 motor to have more of the same effect that the ivtec has on the si motors?? hopefully thats not a stupid question

But now with the turbo, imagine ivtec like the one for the Si is on your car but it kicks in at any RPM as soon as you step on it and pushes you back more because of that torque the turbo makes. But if you drive your car like normal, it will still give you that same driving feeling like before and you will still get great gas milage. |

I was thinking marks car was manual, but is not. and he is boosting 10psi on his auto with no issues, so at 11psi you should be fine redline. sohcBoost ran nitrous on his set up and his car is auto/turbo and it did fine, so maybe he can comment on that on here. and those numbers where with just an exhaust, No one knows how much power will the IM add to the turbo kit, but it should be around an extra 20whp just for the IM, since on a stock R18 the IM dyno at 12whp more and you will see better gains from a boosted motor. This is where some of the R18's stand on this site as far as power goes. I am currently making 190whp and 180lbs of torque at 7/8psi(Manual) Projectprelude made 206whp and 214lbs of torque at 10psi(Manual) Mark is making 210whp and ? his torque at 10psi(Auto) sohcBoost is making 185whp and 200lbs of toque at 5psi(Auto) on the AJP turbo kit Sorry if i miss one, but this are all the guys that i remember seen their dyno sheets. On average you gain about 8whp for every 1psi you add, for the TSI turbo kit. Last edited by Civic Pride; 10-08-2008 at 01:57 AM. |
