Hi.
My name is Colby. I'm a mechanical engineer. I design robots. When I'm not putting hard working American workers out of jobs with my robotic marvels, I'm screwing up my perfectly good car: Some of you folks may remember this: http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-messa...sage_id=599653 Well, I'm at it again. All those penis enlargement spam mails got me thinking: Thats one full inch baby! There is just one problem. The left side of the shifter mech. bangs the boot ring. In the next picture you can see where the ring is actualy cut out to clear this before the lift. It sure as hell hits it now. I plan to buy another one and carefully cut it away. The boot however is long enough and the console section fits over it and clears: The only other thing I had to do was unbolt one of the shifter cable brackets under the car. I was able to get 7/16's of an inch of slack before unbolting this bracket, but afterwards, it was easy to lift it a whole inch up. The cables are relocated, but seem to be about the same distance away from the exhaust: Of course I won't be able to get driving impressions untill late next week when the car sees pavement for the first time in nearly 3 weeks. So, my homies, what do you think? Last edited by chenslee_cheese; 04-12-2007 at 10:11 PM. |

I was really excited when the 2001 Si's came out, but at $19k+ with the base RSX engine, I really felt that Honda was lost hope. I love hatch's but ended up getting a WRX in 2002 instead. Anyway, I drove around with the 1" lift and it's very comfortable and intuitive. I'm going to be very dissapointed if I can't work out some of the (minor) interferences with the console. ![]() |

wont that be a problem for shifting gears.? because one of the lines shifts gears and the other moves the gears.
