If I was to put say, 4 washers on the drivers side and 8 on the passengers side, would I need to cut up my console/trim/retainer and remove the cable bracket? Or would this not be raised enough to need to modify the console/trim/retainer and not remove the bracket???? Do you just epoxy(what kind) the washers together? Is the shifting effort increased(impeded) at all? Over all, are both of you still happy you did this? I really like the idea behind this mod, but I'm just a little worried about problems occurring with the cable(s). Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to both of you for being so adventurous with your Si's . |

Still happy with it yes. No problems at all. The cables are like cable breaks on a bike. You can put them anywhere. |

Thanks for the quick response benmunger. I just ordered a TWM ss kit yesterday, and I'm really thinking of doing this at the same time I install the ss(hopefully next week)..... Did you epoxy the washers together, or just leave them "as-is"? Also, do you have aftermarket metal base bushings? Thanks again.
