you only need about 1.6 so 2 is enough.

That is because they don't know the difference between Pints and Quarts.

5 Spd is 3.0 PINTS (1.5 qts)

6 Spd is 3.2 PINTS (1.6 qts)

going to be changing out my MTF with only 14K on the car soon.
going to be using GM synchromesh friction modified. $15/qt

I have raced a K20a2 on royal purple in the past with no problems(25-30 minute road course sessions). I used a mixture of two of their fluids though.

I would use Amsoil, but it just isn't available when you need it. lots of peeps like GM synchromesh friction modified so I'm going to give it a try.

Hey 2point, tell the dude at the counter you can get it for $9 bucks a quart at gmpartsdirect.com and see if he'll give ya a discount, I got my 2 quarts for $24

Also I'll note 2nd isn't much better but since I swapped out the stock stuff or the GM stuff but I'v done a couple 2-3 power shifts here and there since and its a clean shift every time. Gears do feel a bit less notchy.

best way if to have a lift...or put all 4 corners on jacks stands....cuz u need a level surface to put the 1.7 qt in. one reason the trannys feel like ish as it is, is becuz honda over filled em by 1.3 qt......so u only need to get to quarts and u shud have some left over.
