installed the twm ss w base bushings last night took like 45 minutes. was extra careful not to drop any bushings down into the abyss and did so successfully. used sticky tac to hold in the new bushings before I could bolt em and that works really good. drove it around and omg its freakin amazing now. I hated the stock shifter. too loose and light. got the weighted type r knob in satin finish from twm with the kit and its really nice

Best $ spent so far... got the cable bushings as well. The difference is like night and day! Removed the center console (very easy to do) and had no probs ... made the install quicker in my opinion.

Hi Guys,

We have had a few customers contact us regarding the blue plastic cup removal during the installation of the short shifter. It seems that some people have had issues removing the cup and have damaged it in the process.

We have designed a special installation tool to simplify removal of the cup and to prevent any damage to the cup. We have revised the installation manual to show step by step how to use the special tool, as well as how to remove the console for the base bushings install.

Here is the link to the revised installation manual: http://www.twmperformance.com/manual...all-manual.pdf

All orders are now shipping with the revised manual to prevent mishaps with the blue plastic cup.

Thanks for the great feedback about our short shifter!

Kevin

Is there a solution to reduce the HIEGHT of the shifter?

no. our shifters actually arent that tall.

your best bet is probably to buy the TWM knobs with the NTIS, which can get really really low.

So I really screwed my shifter when I tried to use a JDM Mugen shift knob on my Si. I grinded down the metal knobs to alloy the shifter to sit lower than the stock unit. I am now trying to repair the damage I did by ordering the TWM Type R knob and Auger Resources’ shift boot. Auger Resources is located here, 06/07 Civic SI Shift Boots. I’ll post pics as soon as I complete the work. Wish me luck.

I just installed the short shifter today and I am very happy with it. The installation took about 15 minutes and was pretty easy. You could definitely tell the difference when changing gears and this was worth every penny!

It covers it up very easily. I had the exact set-up.
