Thanks for the DIY, it worked out perfectly. I did find though, that its easier to take the center console off or at least take all the things holding it down off so you can slide it back (toward the backseat) if you are installing the bushings. Gives you more space to play with since there is limited space.

Just placed my order for the SS, cable, and base bushings. I've read plenty of great feedbacks from this product and anxious to get the same results. Hopefully all goes well

You'll love it. I still think it's the best mod i've done. The difference is night and day and you'll wonder how you could have ever done without it.

Sweet. This will be my first of many mods to come. I'll be posting back after install to give feedback.

Great DIY. Not too difficult I would've been done in like 20 minutes if the variance of the shifting rods in the 07 wasn't a problem. I had to file out a piece of that big circle around the shifting rod because I couldn't engage second gear.
After that mess, I took it for a spin around the block. At first I didn't notice a difference in throw, and I kinda hated on the SS. Then I took it for a drive down the highway to the gym and I gotta say I definitely feel the difference and shifting feels great now. Nice and easy, much more firm and I hardly feel the 3rd gear problem. Again Great DIY!

I just installed my Corsport short shifter and Strut King base bushings. Ended up having to take out the console after dropping a hex wrench....dolp! It was worth it because it went so much smoother without the console.

Thanks for a great DIY!

I would order TWM w/ base/shifter bushings and the short shifter. The more you buy the more you save. Just make sure you buy the 07 base bushings if you have an 07

Order everything shifter related from TWM. I had the Corsport SS originally and had to send it back because of fitment issues (this may not be the case for everyone). The TWM design is better and does not use the little pain in the ass set screws. It just had one allen nut which makes it super quick and easy to install.
