forcing people to put shopping carts up in parking lot holden instead of near it or in the middle of the parking lot so a storm can blow them all over the place...including my car.

Here's some more food for thought on the English language thing. There are minority groups in Mexico, what is the official language there? Majority spoken? Exactly. If you move to another country it is assumed that you must speak the official or majority spoken language in order to survive professionally and economically. i didn't have to learn Italian when I lived there but if I wanted to do business or buy things on the local economy, I had to learn and I did.

English is hard, I know this. But it's the language of international commerce. And some of the nations with the highest grossing GDPs are English speaking. It only benefits those who live in an English speaking country to learn it.
actually around half of the population in the Philippines speak and understand english.

when my grandparents came to America (like around 5yrs ago) for the first time, they were actually speaking English well enough for any english speakin individual to understand.

It's been my understanding that English class starts in the 3rd grade in the Philipines or at least in the larger cities. I don't think I've ever come across a Filipino who doesn't speak English. Well, my old supervisor Cajusay could barely speak it. lol. J/k he had the thickest accent I'd ever heard even until this day. It was so cute.

a third lane for no daytime speed limits on some US Freeways, outside of cities which you will have to be qualified to drive in... Similar to the german Autobahn with some American touches..

There are some roads in texas that would benefit from this, it takes a day to get across the state. Texas is the size of Germany, why can't this state implemant no daytime limits... its already 80mph.

That's an awesome name. Seriously. Especially Rei. I like it. I don't like Miguel. I like Paolo okay. But ask any American, and they will either say, "Apollo", "Pablo", "Paul", "Polo".

Yeah, I love these glasses. They're titanium (uber light and durable) from Kio Yamato. My little sister's friend's mom hooked me up BIG on these since I'm not on any type of health insurance (for now) so I only paid $200 OTD with the good lenses for these $400 frames.

Bullsh*t, there's been numerous tests done indicating that marijuana use has little to no effect on driving habits. In fact this is a common misconception. The reason for it is that if someone causes an accident and marijuana is found in their system, then the insurance company is off the hook, thats why they test for it, and roughly 20% of the American population smokes weed so a lot of drug tests are gonna come up positive even if being high was not the cause of the accident. I know several people who experienced this first hand. Sorry, but your friends just a sh*tty driver, it wasnt the weeds fault.

I suspected learning english was a requirement for citizenship. IS that not the case?

If so illegal immigration is to blame, and we all know there are already laws against that. As to whether or not/how those laws are enforced, well I guess that is a topic for another thread.

Forced sterilization. I don't know what is more disheartening, the fact so many of you seem to want it or the fact our country has actually done it before.

I think "Probable cause" should be deemed an excuse for the police to violate your rights. There for bieng illegal, Ex. your car has windor tint that gives me probable cause to assume that you have something illegal inside. Your car has wheels on it that means I have probable cause to impound your car untill I get a warrent because you told me that I cant inspect your car.

The DMV and licensing tests are a joke.

If it isn't mind numbingly easy it is bass ackwards. According to the State of Virginia "Do Not Enter" signs actually don't mean "Do Not Enter." In fact they mean "You are facing the wrong way on a one way street." Answering "This sign signifies you should not attempt to drive onto this road or entrance'" will fail you.

They also have these eye test things on the counter that you are supposed to put our forehead on and read. Unfortunately they are completely f'ed up. I can only read them with one eye closed because the lenses are off, but somehow it is an official vision test. It isn't my vision either. Hint: If a guy that can see 20/5 on a good day has trouble with your vision test, something might be amiss...

It is amazing to me they don't require you to demonstrate you can practice or even understand the basics of driving dynamics or car control.

you look Filipino to me. lol.

I kinda like the name 'Darwin' more than 'Rei'. Hence my user name 'Dar-Dar'. Many of my friends call me Darwin and many of my classmates and coworkers call me Rei. It makes me feel like i have two identities. lol.

Damn I only made it through 2 pages and ****... It's easy to tell who the ultra-conservatives are in these boards. You guys need to relax. Not all crimes should result to a life-sentence in a federal prison.

1st degree murder, rape, child molestation, and extreme torture = death penalty or life in a small box, no rehabilitation. i'm sorry, why rehabilitate someone who is going to die behind bars. Those are the ones that I think should be the harshest.
