Do you watch FOX news?

If yes, then why?
If no, then why not?

My belief is that FOX news is a commentary, not a journalistic news program.

yes - because they are the least biased news program. im aware they lean a little towards the conservative side but at least they arent 100% totally liberal like msnbc or cnn

I disagree. NBC and CNN's liberlness cannot even start to balance out FOX's Republican agenda.

Rupert Murdoch owns FOX. He is a die hard Republican. FOX news gets daily goals from up top. These goals have a strictly Republican agenda that either involves promoting something Republican or attacking something Democratic. Former FOX anchors and workers have exposed this agenda.

When you watch FOX news listen. They use the phrase "some say" over and over again. This goes directly against journalistic ideals because good journalism is about citing the source. What they are doing is bringing commentary into their segments and masking their station's beliefs. Also listen for snarky cheap shot remarks directed towards the Democrats. If you're a Republican faithful then you'll probably overlook these things, but their practices aren't in accord with real journalism.

I'm not a Democrat by the way.

The Sunday Funnies are more accurate than Fox news.

Yes.

Because its not afraid to be what it is. MSNBC and CNN and those channels pretend to be fair and unbiased while blatantly displaying a liberal bias. FNC knows it is conservative and doesn't hide the fact.

Also, FNC is just more entertaining.

If you want journalism, watch BBC news. None of the American channels are journalism.

So you watch FOX knowing that it's pretty much a commentary?

I do agree that it is entertaining. Glen Beck and O'Reilly have some pretty unintentionally hilarious segments.

I agree with a lot of their opinions, and the fact that they're not afraid to say them out loud is honorable.

The Daily Show/Colbert Report is comedy.

lulz...I was watching an episode of Daily Show the other day, and he was basically complaining about how the Democrats aren't leftist enough. If you wanna talk about bias...

I just kinda get my news as I am on the internet or if I happen to pick up a newspaper. All the news programs are biased one way or another now and they put me to sleep

like you said, its comedy. stewart dogs on everybody, granted not evenly at all, but he'll call anyone out.

I do not watch fox news because getting your news from a channel that presents commentary as news. the majority of their programming could very well have been found in the letters to the editor section of a newspaper. Beyond that, taking news from any of the channels listed is stupid because they're ALL biased towards one agenda or another. MSNBC is completely left. FOX is completely right. and CNN is probably the closest to the middle but still leaning towards the left.

while we're at fox and stewart: News Corpse Jon Stewart Breaks It Down: Fox News Is NOT News

totally true. there are just too many people that seem to think that those three channels should be taken for more than entertainment value.

Truth be told, every network has terrible bias. Look at CBS, NBC and ABC. Selective journalism at its best. CNN, which could stand for Communist News Network and was started by Ted Turner, is rank with bias and tilted coverage. MSNBC we all know is nothing but a news outlet for the Left.

As for Fox, it does have a bias to the right, but to be honest, at least they tell the whole story. Sometimes it is not what you say, but what you don't say. The other networks mentioned often will not cover stories that make the Left look bad. Look at all the journalists that did their best to torpedo George Bush in 2004 and even those who tried to destroy Sarah Palin in 2008. That doesn't make me love Fox anymore, but at least it balance out the overwhelming coverage of the Left.

I personally don't care for Bill O'Reilly, Glen Beck and others of their ilk. They are obnoxious. Same goes for a lot of people on talk radio. Just a bunch of talking heads who are just pompous, arrogant a$$hats.

If I want news, I go online. I can read from different perspectives and make my own informed opinion. This is why I hate politics and am fed up with it. I am terribly jaded and cynical about most people who run for office, either on the Right or the Left or even in the Center. For the last 3 elections, I have really not wanted to vote and I couldn't stand either side. I think there are a lot of people like myself who would like to see Washington completely overturned with people who want smaller government, less foreign intervention and term limits. I guess I am just dreaming...

i never watch Fox news. Bill o'reily thinks that he can win debates just by screaming the loudest. Hannity and Glen Beck are diehard republicans and anybody who watches these shows are just afraid of an alternative point of view. "fair and Balanced' my ass! Plus glen beck's sarcasm is really awkward.

True all. However, I see you failed to mention Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC. Are they any different from the people you mentioned on Fox News? Also, what about people like Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper? Surely you cannot say that these people are "fair and balanced". They are the most biased people I have ever seen on network news.

So, just out of curiosity, what TV news do you watch? CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC? Enquiring minds want to know.

Fox news for me, since I'm a closed minded conservative terrorist, according to any liberal of course.
