In our consistent bickering we can always find common ground some wheres.

I don't think I was a member here back when the stimulus was being discussed but on other forums I was very against the bill for the sole notion of how the money was being spent.

I tried being optimistic in that the money would at least help a little for the sake of the economy...but yeah that doesn't seem to be happening.

So again, you must know more about economics than I do. What should we have done instead?
reduce taxes not increase them for people who create jobs. give tax credits to those who have proven to add economic growth to the job count by a percentage in their company . I think that would be a great start

I don't even know how a person goes about creating a job. Whats stopping companies from hiring new folks to get the tax credit, only to lay them off soon after?

Good Point.
Also, what companies are actually hiring that do not have huge overseas factories?
Everyone wants a tax credit. And so far, we've gotten a tax credit. Why do you think you're earning more now than you were before?
Do you guys remember how Bush's stimulus check ended up backfiring as there was no spending?
Yet we're criticizing when he gave us a stimulus check.
And you guys are here over-reacting over the Peace Nobel Prize. Be glad a President of your country won it instead of others. But of course, if a republican president were to be the winner, the democrats would be whining and then the republicans will come with anger saying white people can't have anything without being racist even though the topic is all different.

The reason we are arguing the validity of his winning of the award, is that he contributed little to nothing in the way of peace.

again I am stating my opinion and I'm a Democrat

Oh, and why wouldn't Morgan Tsvangarai win for trying to reform Zimbabwe, literally putting his life on the line? So ridiculous.

B/c He has not done anything significant enough to win...

If you read a couple pages back we had a discussion where other members listed people who have contributed great things to the Human race yet didn't win

Because he was a senior official under the Regime which resulted in the zimbawe massacre, helped the rebellion that ultimately costed many lives and a civil war(Congo war 2) and the bullying and taking lands of white-minority zimbawe residents.

obviously there would be more to a bill like this. It would in my opinion require the company to raise their companies job count by a percentage each year. If the percentage dropped by firing the year after then they wouldnt get the tax break for that year, Because there job count would either be lower or the same the next year.

you work force is 9 people, You hire joe shmoe for a year, your books show a 10% employee increase, you qualify for tax credit

next year you fire joe shmoe, at the end of the year you show a 15% decrease in employee's, you dont qualify

the third year you re hire joe shmoe you show a 0% increase from the best year of employment you dont qualify

the forth year you hire joe shmoes brother brad shmoe , you show another increase and qualify again

this would give a good incentive to grow and create a better economy
