I have no personal vendetta against Obama....Hell I was swayed by his yes we can speech.

The mere fact that he is a very well speaker (almost MLK Status )people are willingly gargling his ball sack.

Its a Joke. There is little difference b/w this administration and the previous one!

research things b4 you assume the dog and pony act media is giving you valid info

Obama: Iran's secret nuke facility 'inconsistent with a peaceful program' - The Oval: Tracking the Obama presidency

^^Sound familiar? Myabe this next statement will jar your memory: "Iraq has weapons of Mass Destruction" - Big Dick Cheney

Nope. I would assume those who feel so strongly against Obama getting the prize would have someone in mind they think deserved it more. How can someone say they dont think he is worthy of the prize yet not be able to say who they think was more worthy?

Because he won a prize for good intentions, I can understand the head scratching.

To win the Nobel Peace Prize for the sciences you'd have to actually...do something.

Winning the prize did show he accomplished one thing...the world has a much more favorable view of the US.

That's like saying people shouldn't have an opinion about red onions without providing an onion they would prefer to eat.

It's pure bullshit the Pres is getting this award for things he had not even begun yet.

How about you prove what the President did in his first 11 days of office to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize?

The NPP has staggered itself with a hard left leaning awards process for many years. With this one, they've clearly and decisively shown the globe that if your politics are correct, you can earn a prize. If they aren't, then not so much. By doing so, the NPP no longer holds the distinction and prestige it used to. It's simply a gentleman's MTV music awards event. Worthless.

I personally believe that no one deserves an award for "good intentions".

Good intentions doesn't stop US soldiers from dying in Afghanistan or Iraq.
Good intentions doesn't stop fix healthcare.
Good intentions doesn't lead to economic growth.

But apparently good intentions can get you $1,000,000. The award is nothing more than rhetoric, it changes nothing and Obama still has a lot of work to do before we see any of his good intentions come to fruition...if anything, winning the prize puts even more pressure on him since it hammers the fact that the world is watching.

I personally believe that Obama can't even get a fraction of his agenda completed. He seems to be the sort of person who over-analyzes before making a decision and is open to hear opposing sides. Yes this is great, but to an extent. At some point a strategy and an action must be decided upon. This is why he seems to "flip flop" on many issues.

Id bet money something along the lines of oh well what kind of onions do you like? No difference here. People dont think he deserved it so im curious who they think did deserve it.

Symbolically? Yes.
Politically? No as it doesn't accomplish what America voted for him for.

Plus that's not why he won the NPP. Guy wasn't MLK now.

Exactly....

Good intentions isn't worthy of something as prestigious as the NPP regardless of race.

The world likes what his intentions are which, technically makes him eligible, but surely the world knows that rhetoric and good ideas a good leader does not make...he also has to wrestle the circus that is Congress.

lol ASU thought it was too early to make a decision on whether or not to give him an honorary degree...but he got a NPP. It's just unusual is all.

In a short answer Yes

In a Long answer no really.... Again I am a Democrat and I was swept into the Obama fever like the majority of the nation... but what does that say about us?

(Disclaimer: I am in no way implying that Obama Is anything like Hitler this is just a matter of a anaology)

Hitler was able to sway the masses with his High intelect and knowlege of propaganda... he was also able to rally millions of people together to hate a entire religion of people based on nothing more then his convincing speeches...

Obama does the same....He is very well spoken and really does spark a hope in people that we can change for the better not the worse. however, thats all it is a compelling speech. His actions speak louder then his words!

I do credit him with being able to unify our country and to (mostly) put hate and racist ideas to rest.

everything that hitler did was based on LIES and HATRED. In contrast, Obama has successfully inspired a whole lot of ppl...not just in the US but around the world on the POSITIVE MESSAGE OF PEACE. He now has an even bigger mandate to prove himself of this reward. I hope that with time, he does it right.

As if becoming the first black president was not enough, he has clearly challenged the status quo of big government and its deception
