225-45-17 would fit fine.

235-45-17 is aggresive and could have rubbing issues. it may require rear fender lip flare. et of 45 of higher would be best with this size

235/45-17 also has a rim range of 7.50" to 9.00"
235/40-17 has a range of 8.00" to 9.00" so that's out too.

What about the 225/45/17's in the new falken azenis? They always seem to be a bit wider than normal tires?

because i looked too fast. thats the problem with multi- 25-45 should work fine, 225-40 would reduce the rim width range and be too short in o.d.

sorry

as far as wider than normal tires, that can be common. a tire from one brand and a tire from another can be the same physical size, lets say a 225-45-17, but the section width, etc can be slightly different, causing it to be a bit "beefier" than other tires...pretty common.

Yup thats how my expensive ass OEM S2000 tires were. They were actually the next size up in width.

I just wana make sure I have no hard rubbing issues with 225/45/17 azenis lowerd.
