Yes... they are NEON ORANGE!

My fellow Texans....

I have asked the Subaru crowd (well... my other car friends... they mostly don't own Subarus any more) and now I will ask here.

I have an opportunity to act on buying some new wheels. I want something that is an upgrade over stock in performance so the requirements are wider and lighter (please note: I did not say BIGGER... I drive too hard and like back roads too much to go too much bigger in diameter). I am thinking something in the lines of 17x8 (and depending on the choice, will shed as much as 7 pounds off each wheel). I think I have it down to two choices:

Enkei RPF1 (17x7.5; 15.2 lbs or 18x7.5; 17lbs)

or the Enkei RPM2 (17x8; 17.6lbs)

I had the RPM2s ono my Subaru... and although I LOVED them, they took a long time to clean (it took me longer to clean my wheels good than the rest of the car).

So, in what is a point to note in history (first time I have asked for an opinion on my FA5), give me your thoughts.

On a side note.... I think I am kind of following Kent... I love my Civic just the way it is, so everything I do will be well thought out and an actual improvement to "fix" an issue... in other words, I am not neccessarily interested in MORE POWER but am becoming more interested in improving the driving experience... and a late nigth run down Hwy 4 reminded me that I really enjoy the car "as is" so I will stay conservative with mods... :)

I like the looks of the second one best but sounds like you should choose the first one since they are lighter and more what you are looking for.

I'm biased towards the RPM2's.

I am quite aware... I had them on my suby... I love them... but I hated cleaning them... but they come in a nicer size too (17x8) so the debate is still going on.... but the size has been decided...

RPF1. I would go for these for the more agressive look.
