jammers of all kinds whether being radar (x,k,ka,ku bands) and lidar(laser) are illegal pretty much everywhere but detectors are perfectly legal (the things drivers put on there windshields with the suction cup things or a harness) if you jam a cops laser it'll come up as an error on their gun so youre gonna get pulled over and youre gonna get searched and if they cant find your main module they'll see the 2-3 sensors hiding in your grill

It is illegal if the tube is showing. But if the glow can be seen, then you cannot have red or blue at any time and you can not have them on while the vehicle is in motion regardless of color. |

Laser jamming is legal - radar jamming is illegal. Not sure why, but that's how it is, for now, in TX. The laser IS illegal in many states now, so be careful if you're leaving the state at any point. Also, it's likely that it could become illegal here too, so that'd be a consideration.
AFAIK the state legislature tried to pass a law (that being the one that you quoted) dropping the front plate requirement but it failed, so we're still technically required to have front plates. Don't know anything about headlights or neons. Lastly, we have the highest posted speed limit in the US, right here in West Texas. 80 MPH is the limit on Interstates 10 & 20 in areas - see Image:US speed limits.svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. ![]() |

Laser jamming is perfectly legal in bith forms, actice and passive, since its light it falls under the FDA, and they cant really start banning light now can they, but if you do go active jamming, turn it off after geting back to the PSL, iff you jam them all the way, they can still pul you over for some bogus excuse for pissing them off with your jammer
RADAR Jamming, now thats way past illegal, anywhere in the US, the FCC has it shut tight |

To be more specific... there are two governing bodies involved with these speed check devices.
First... Laser. Laser is governed by the FDA (yes... the Food and Drug Administration) and as such, they have no provisions against jamming a LASER transmission. Second... radar. Radar is a radio transmission and there for is govern by the FCC. It is 100% illegal at the federal level to jam ANY sort of radio transmission. So therefore, it is also illegal to jam radar. Radar is too easy to avoid with a good detector.... now having a laser jammer is expensive, but could pay for itself... or you could just slow down? |

oh well, but yeah its safe to asume that Laser jamming will always be legal at the federal level, theres a few laws at the state level that ban them in certain states, but here in the great state of Texas, you probably wont have to worry about that stuff any time soon, and if youre interested I know of some good passive jamming measures that could be used to some effect, its certainly cheaper than active jammers, and all it does it 'tint' your headlights, I tested it on the old CL, and I got a laser gun down to 300 ft at highway speeds, whilst getting warning from atleast 1500+ ft while the test gun was hitting me |
