You will have to do the standard... defensive or probation.

Where did you turn? And please do not say Hwy183 EB to Beltline SB.

yes, 183 and beltline. I think about getting a traffic lawyer...what are the chances my ticket will dismissed? I already taken defensive driving, but not for a ticket, it was to lower my insurance.

I HIGHLY d9oubt you will get it dismissed by way of court... there are THREE signs that all say "No right turn on red" at that intersection... one before the intersection... one hanging on the stop light... and one planted in ht emedian on Beltline... I don't think "I didn't see it" will work for a defense at that intersection.

I bet it was a motorcycle cop too... he sits down at the gas station (Chevron) by the gas pumps and just waits for his prey to come to him...the stretch of Beltline from 183 down to Shady Grove is a ABD place to do anything against the law.... that area is crawling with traffic cops

When you get cited for no right turn on red, do they put you down for running a red light too?

Just do defensive driving. You can do defensive driving once per county per year to dismiss a ticket. You doing it to lower insurance doesn't affect anything.

thank all your for the help. I really appreciated. I guess I will take ya advice and do the defensive driving because I still would have to take it if i do the deferred probation..My ticket gonna cost aleast 600 out of my pocket.. I could of use that on getting my window tint and some spring.

I found myself in a wierd spot the other day... i wanted to make a left turn, but the light was red... trick was it was one way to the left... so should I have had 'left' of way? I just sat out the light to be safe haha.

Turning left on red onto a one way street is just as legal as right on red normally... it just feels REALLY weird to do it.

I have heard that it is legal to turn left from a one-way to a one-way, also. it has been a while since I have had to take defensive driving (knock on wood) so i dont remember if they mention that.

It's gotta be from a one-way onto another one-way to be legal.

Sorry... yes... as I was reading the story I was picturing myself sitting at Commerce and Houston in downtown Dallas.... and I forgot to mention it has to be one way in both directions... :)

Well I guess I could have done it. But, being in Waco, I probably would have been pulled over. Cops are EVERYWHERE.... I'm going to be moving out there in a few months. Right across from baylor at that.
