Actually, mine's probably in the parking lot of the body shop where it's been at for (so far) the last two weeks, knowing my luck so far with these people.

I talked to them tuesday, it was "done with body, going to be painted, and wouldn't be done for another week" (?!?!) and then wednesday got a message "it's almost done with body, almost done on the bumper, about to send it to painting" and then today "they sent us the wrong bumper bracket so we hope to get the right one in tomorrow." Insurance said when it went in last monday morning that it would take 5 business days. Body shop said seven. It's now been a full 9 days and they're estimating another week. I'm not sure if any body shops actually have a *good* reputation, but I'm not happy so far with Service King at Coit and Plano Pkwy.

[/rant]

Sorry for the off topic. I guess my point was it actually might not have been in a garage for all I know; I'm hoping it's alright too.

Oh man, you have no idea. Frank Kent body shop screwed me over hardcore. They took a few days longer than they said they would, and didn't call me until a day after they were done with it so I had to pay out of pocket for my rental car for a day. On top of that, I was broke so I really couldn't afford to keep paying for a rental car and when I got there they hadn't even replaced everything that was supposed to be replaced! All the body panels were aligned wrong, and the grill frame still had the womans paint on it.. I took it back up there to have the panels fixed and they said they'd have it done by the end of the day. When I got there I realized that all they had done was grab on to the panels and yank until it they lined up better. I had surface scratches on my hood where you see the guys hand and where it had slid across my hood perfectly.

On top of that I specifically told them not to drill my front bumper.. And what did they do? Drill my ******* front bumper! Fast Forward 4 months and I had more rock chips than paint on the front end of my car because of the wax-paper thin garbage paint job couldn't even hold up to a sneeze.

[/superrant]

Okay, seriously.. no more threadjack.

Anyone else get hit hard?

A buddy of mine just sent these:

These were from a local mall parking garage. A lot of people were hiding out from the hail.

I made it home just in time, car's safe and sound in the garage............then the storm hit and it sounded like popcorn. My son was like popcorn? I told him no, it's "ouchie rain". He was content, then we lost power and he walked around with his flashlight thinking it was a game........LOL. Hope everyone is okay though.

my gosh... I like the mall photos too. I've had a car get hit by hail in the past - about the size in your photos, or maybe a little bigger. It put nice dents all on my roof, hood, and trunk. The storm came out of nowhere and before I could get to it, it was over with.

Yeah, I'm kind of eager to see if I have any damage on the Civic.. When we got hail not too long ago I was parked next to a 300C that got a little bit of hail damage while my car didn't show anything at all.. But the hail definitely wasn't this big.

I actually looked through some old pictures of the old mayfest hailstorm that hit here a while back... crazy stuff.

I'm glad to hear that not many others got caught outside in this.

That was crazy man.. Did everything make it out okay? I know Aledo got hit pretty damn hard. When I was watching ch 8 the helicopter flew over aledo and everything was just white.

I just got to check the cars this morning.. The em2 has hail damage, but my main concern was the proyekt car having a lot of damage, and I don't see anything noticable.

I guess I get to call my insurance today and find out my deductible.
