HFP Suspension Install: Houston

Anyone know where I can get an HFP suspension installed into my 4dr Si? The stealership quoted me $579 for labor and allignment. I can get the kit for $520ish off ebay so there's no way I'm paying that much for the install.

I would install it myself, but I'm afraid I'll mess up. Never done anything like it before.

College Hills honda has a podcast on the install. Looks pretty informative.

is that dealership quote for just the labor and alignment or the kit as well? I'd say thats not bad. If u were to get the kit online and then have a shop somewhere do it then it would come out pretty much the same..

That $579 is just the labor man.

yeah screw that. Just get the hfp kit online and take to a strut and shock shop. All u have to do to put the hfp in is switch out the front shock and spring assembly and put the hfp in. I havent personaly dont it but it looks easy and straight forward. There a diy on it in the diy section i believe.

Do you have any suggestions of where to take it? I'm definitely not confident enough to work on the car myself.

u could start out at maybe one of the chain shops like brake check, or midas and see what they give u for a quote and then find some custom/tuning shops and see what they will do it for. Any place that can do shocks and struts will be able to put that hfp kit in for u

I can do it at my high school shop for free.. i just did an alignment on my Si today with our new digital alignment machine.. ( i know it sounds unreal giving a "high schooler" your car to work on, but i've been doing it since my freshman year, name a job and ive done it.. not to mention my ASE master tech teacher is extremely knowledgable)

try ASAA Racing. It's near Longpoint and Gessner.
