The ROTC is really easy as far as during college...it's like another class you take during the week...after you are done with your degree you go to camp at different locations...one is at Tyndall...and is like basic training...but harder than enlisted camp...from what I saw. I hear it depends where you go for the basic training after ROTC...some are easier than others.

IMO, if you are close to getting your degree...check out OTS, but if you are far from it...ROTC will help seal the deal once your done with college and I think they pay a little for you...or most of it if you attend UT.

How long does it take? I haven't started school at all. I would be starting devry in April.

the whole ROTC course can't take any longer than 3 years I believe...it all depends on how fast you get your courses out of the way to get a Bachelors. The basic training course was like 7 weeks I think. Lots of running...I swear that's all they did at Tyndall from what I saw.

to reply to the ROTC program being like enlisted bootcamp...no...not even close, they go to college, and occasionally train, i DID bootcamp, and saw OCS candidates walking around Ft. Sam all the time...it's a shame some of those people get the rank they do....send everybody that wants to wear a uniform through bootcamp

I know...I'm talking about after ROTC...they go through bootcamp...And this is in reference to the Air Force...not the Army

I know because my ex went through it. ktksbye
