So my car's at Howdy honda today, and they just called me to tell me they couldn't replicate the problem. They want to keep my car an extra day to try it again on a cold start. Seems pretty ridiculous to me that they can't replicate a problem that I've experienced on a daily basis and that is all over the news and internet forums.

As for the 23rd, I can't make that day because I bought tickets to the AMC oscar nomination movie day a while ago. It's an all-day 5 movie showing at AMC barton creek from 10am-10pm or something like that. Most other days would work for me though..

I wouldn't hold your breath on the local dealer fixing your tranny problem until Honda Corp acknowledges the issue. I had some notchyness in my 06 and the Amsoil MTF solved everything. Now it shifts like butta.

I may up for a GTG. What time were you thinking?

It may be a possibility for me. Maybe some other SA ppl too. Make a thread. A lil short notice, but certainly do-able.

Howdy called me again to let me know they still couldn't replicate it on a cold start. I'm going to pickup my vehicle later on today after work. Guess I'll have to try for a second opinion later on..

Yea I'm not sure what the next step to take should be. I left my car at Howdy for 2 days, when I go pick it up today I'm going to drive it with them and see if I can replicate the problem. If I can't... should I wait a while and then take it back to them, or should I take it to another dealership? Hmm..

Hmmmm i dont know i think you should try to change the MTF and then see if it help, or you can alway try another dealer and see what they say. It never hurt to ask :)

If I change the MTF, will I need to pay for it if the dealer is saying they can't replicate the problem? (hence not covered under warranty)

i think you should call Howdy and ask them...Since they can't replicate the problem, can they just change your MTF???? because you heard that it help with the third gear problem....if they dont do it then ask to talk to the service manager and bitch at him :)....

That's good to know actually. I'm still going to the AMC movie day this saturday so won't be able to meet earlier, perhaps i'll try to catch a meet next week then.

the dealership is not going to do anything for you
this has been a long time problem with rsx's as well but nothing has been done to solve the problem

but yes, upgrading your mtf will help (from what i've read)
i don't really have this issue since i shift from 1-2-4-6 :)

which viet/chinese resturant is this your talking about because that's what i am

edit: nevermind, found other thread
