plus, if you shift at 7400 you're dropping out of vtec and you're losing power, if you shift around 8k, you'll be in the 6k range where vtec is still constant you won't lose power, shifting at 7400 drops you below 5800 which puts you back into the lower cam

yea definitely shift at 83. You will find it a lot better. Plus at a 40 roll u need to find a gear where u are in or as close to vtec as possible.

hitting the rev limiter isnt gonna hurt that beast a bit. i always shifted right before the limiter would kick in. Watch out though if you get the Hondata, I believe the limiter either goes away or is raised higher or something.

I will swing by the shop after lunch to get those studs installed. I will probably swing by Wendy's before I come over, let me know if you guys want a frosty...haha, its gonna be a hot ass day. Looks like I am going to have to invest in some bigger heavier duty tools for this tank. Also need to get an air compressor...

Yea, when I left the shop today I used the crossover to turn around to come home. Traffic was a bitch so I got on it, well lets say I wasnt used to rear wheel drive anymore because I didnt even think that my tank would walk sideways and burn the tires down on dry pavement. Anyways, I was completely suprised of this thing. Then laughed after I cleaned my pants out.

shifting down for a 40 gear roll would be ideal for 2nd gear, 1st tops out like at 37-ish. 2nd tops out at 57, 4th tops out around 80ish and 5th... ehh you don't need to top that out. but that gives you an idea of what to downshift to. just experiment!

5th tops out at 134, haha.

Thanks bro, its getting there. I still have a few more mods for it and I think I will be done for awhile. Money is starting to get a little tight now but still getting my alarm/remote start/turbo timer end of this week. Next week should be getting my custom audio system made and installed, maybe my air intake system. That should be all I can afford by then, but I got a good start already. My wife hates it...haha. She asked me today if I could just get a vehicle and keep it stock....I said hell no.

haha, yea i did too. was the first and only time i have seen that sticker. thanks for the comment. yea got a dodge 2500 turbo diesel. performance wise, i have a programmer and high flow muffler. Going to buy an air intake setup but it seems that i might be spending a little more on my custom audio system than expected, so the intake may go on the back burner for now. i will see if i can upload a pic or two on myspace and then link it, damn photobucket wont let me upload pics.
