Hey guys, Spring Woods High School is having a car show this weekend and i was wondering if any of you guys would show up. The car show is not that long i believe its from 11-5 PM on Saturday 26th of Apr. I would be bad ass if a bunch of 8thgen civics rolled up. What do you guys think?

yeahh it's right there by gessner and hammerly.. but keep going towards memorial city mall and make a right at the next light, it's like tiger trail or something.. and the school will be on the right.

On another subject... have any of you guys with Si's try taking your cars to the dealership to get them to replace the 3rd gear synchronizer? there's a new TSB out that calls to replace the 3rd gear problem if you guys haven't seen it yet... I called goodson honda west and they told me to come in Thursday morning so they can take a look at it...

i think it's bad... it feels notchy as hell and it feels like theres a barrier in third.. it's like two walls for third, if you don't get it past the first one you're guaranteed for it to pop out and grind like a mother. same thing with 2nd gear if you're not careful when shifting at like higher rpms.. it's retarded.

second doesnt give me any trouble. 3rd grinds rarely. I find that shifting at a higher rpm works better. I shift at around 4k

I might try to show up for that school show...

4k rpm is not high to shift into 2nd...get up to around 7k-7.5k ish (or higher) and then try to shift a lil faster than you would normally into 2nd and you will sometimes get a grind. It sucks, its only happened to me twice so far.

Im debating on taking mine into the dealership for the TSB. Ever since ive had the SS, Bushings and amsoil mtf it only popped out once on me due to the fact that I was granny shifting. My only concern is that my warranty is only good tiill 48k and im currently sitting at 40.7k, I drive about 100miles+ day as well so I need to decide soon.

3rd Gear Topic: hey guys i talked to a guy named David Foreman at Goodson Honda West, he said to bring it in this week to see if they find any of the symptoms the TSB asks for. In the past two months its popped out twice and i also feel that barrier in second and third.

Car Show Topic: I wonder if there is going to be a way to recognize any of you guys at the Spring Woods car show on sat. I know you guys are not going to be standing next to your car the whole day. Any suggestions anyone?

call him back and see if you can bring it in tomorrow around 9.. i'm gonna be down there at 8:45 and if they approve one of us then that'll probably mean they'll order parts for both of us. I have an appointment with this guy name Bill and Tim Swafford who's the service manager over there i believe.

If this is the one right near beltway 8 and i10 across from the ford dealership, I wouldn't mind stopping by to see what happens. Im right across the street from the dealership. Course Id have to see if my boss would let me out for a few.
