i personally have the fujita SRI, but i love the looks of the K&N, i think they just recently had a newly redesigned one too. not to mention they have a heatshield which should help out somewhat if i'm not mistaken

heak soak is not really the air its really the matter that the intake tube itself is getting hot i believe. as long as you dont push the car hard at all times you should be find. yes there are gains with the SRI but different SRI have different numbers. i too am deciding which SRI to go with, im torn between DIY x-intake and Fujita 5.

yes, you are correct to a certain extent

pushing hot air through the tube will make the tube hot, it's all connected bro

I ordered a fujita SRI, many recommended it, and figured it wouldn't hurt to try

AEM or FUjita. . . id go Fujita

I choose those two because they come with dry filters, theyre much safer on the engine and your MAF than that stupid oiled crap, theyre still re-usable too, and even then its easier, go in rinse off in a bucket of soap and water, repeat, then in plain water to get the soap out, then dry, much better than having to wash off all the old oil and ugly crap, then drying, then oiling, being careful not to overspray in one spot, or anything like that
