My motorola razr v3 sucks!

I bought this stupid thing like 8 months ago and it has given me nothing but problems. I cant believe i paid $100 for this thing. The camera doesn't take visible pics and it tweaks out all the time and shuts off. Sure its thin, but that just makes its easier to lose.

I was thinking about taking it to a nearby lake and skipping it across the water. I bet it would go pretty far!

my g/f has the pink one and the battery runs out quick as hell, is that normal for this model? (i just bought it for her last month so its not old)

my batt is ok. it lasts like 2-3 days if i charge it over night. my roomate had a razr and it's batt only lasted like a day on full charge. I've heard of other people with this problem.

Did she charge it for 24 hours on the first charge? That usually makes a huge difference.

we just plug it in b4 bed, then its like half gone by afternoon the next day, maybe we will take it to verizon tomorrow

The MOTO Razor is quite possibly the worst phone ever produced. I bought one over a year ago for 250 and it promptly died 30 days into ownership. The kicker was that I was past the 30 day return mark and only qualified for a refurb replacement. It ended up taking 3 more refurbs and a whole lot of complaining before they sent me one that would actually "work" worth a damn. Even then the phone would constantly drop calls and would rarely receive a carrier signal. I ended up just telling my friends to leave me a message and I would call them back once I heard the message beep.


I wouldn't take another Razor if someone paid me to have it. They look “cool” but that is about it. It’s a nice expensive paper weight in my book.

Let's start an hate my Razr club lol My phone sucks... Sometimes it will just freeze and I take the battery out over and over try to turn it off nothing. And when it does this it stays frozen for about an hour sometimes less. The screen sometimes just goes white for a second and I have to wait for everything to pop back up. It's slow as hell it will take a few mins just for me to get a number that I want because it keeps freezing. And it's not that small it looks rather stupid in my back pocket lol Anyway there is my rant lol

Heh, am I the only one who likes the RAZR? Mine has given me zero problems, and I got it because it doesn't look like I have a tumor in my pocket.

Other than that, I just got it for its phone size, knowing that it's not exactly feature rich. My battery's life lasts about 3 days, if I don't get calls at all, but that's to be expected with such a small battery. The camera sucks, but I don't use it.

I upgraded the firmware, and it's not given me a problem since.

I'm not sure the model of the phone but there is this junk phone I know Cingular has it's blue and silver crap camera phone and it's got the same exact settings as the razor yet we pay a million dollars more for our. BS lol

I had a moto before and I find its menus not very intuitive.

My phone is a freebie and has a 10 days (240 hours ) standby. I dropped it a couple of times and I can't believe how durable it is. Did I say free ?

Nokia's base phones have always been a stickler for punishment. I loved, and still love, my old 8160. That thing was such a workhorse, it was small, and it has SNAKE! :)

I remember dropping that phone so many times, and the only thing I got from it was a chip on the top corner.

I remember when the Razr first came out...badass phone then it became a POS.

I think of all Motorola phones, I was disappointed. The only phone I haven't had a problem with Motorola is the Rokr.

I have a Moto Razr v3c from Verizon. I have had zero problems since I got it. The number one problem for v3c users (Verizon only) is that the firmware is out of date. Go to the Tools section and go to Settings and Tools-->System--->Device Info--->Other Information-->S/W Version. The current firmware ends in .04. If you need to update your firmware, just bring it to your local Verizon store and they will upgrade it for you (not your local mall stand).

From my understanding, version .02 had uncrippled Bluetooth, meaning you could used OBEX to transfer your ringtones. Version .03 crippled the Bluetooth, allowing you only to use it for headset use (this is when VCast came out and they wanted you to BUY their ringtones). Version .04 fixes all known problems, such as battery life and slow UI (user interface).

When updating to version .04, your previous version makes a difference. From what I hear, if you have version .02 before you update to version .04, you will be able to keep your uncrippled Bluetooth and still have the improved battery life and faster UI. However, if you have version .03 and you upgrade to version .04, your Bluetooth will still be crippled. Hopefully, they let us use our Bluetooth again in a newer version of the software.

I had a first edition European Razr that cost me more euro than I care to admit to here, it was wonderfull. I had it for a year when some P.o.s. stole it at my bachelorette party.

I got back here and got a red PEBL from Asia. I spent $243 on it and it's the biggest piece of S**T I'VE EVER OWNED!

It's a hit or miss with these things. I definitely think Motorola is saccrificing reliability for fashion. Idiots. Honda should make phones.

I got a bluetooth headset from Motorola, and it was defective out of the box. I sent it in two weeks ago and have yet to hear from them. The tech support guy was some arab who could barelyt speak english.

My MDA ******* rocks. :)

I've had my razr for like 8 months now and I hate it cuz it is SO SLOW when doing text messages, scrolling through phone book, ect... It's like waiting for a webpage to load up on dial up internet. I hate it.
