Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Ok so i looked around didnt see any posts about it but here it goes.

This game is absolutely amazing. It is gorgeous, refined, fun. Presentation is awesome and after you download the patch presentation even gets better with a bevy of nice little things on the main screen. It is the best racer i have played. I loved gt3 for ps2 but love this even more.

This is a true car and sim racers game. This is not need for speed or burnout it is a sim.

There is plenty of content specially for the price, online is great though alot of the kids that are playing think its bumper cars but it gets better when you play the intermediate and advanced modes online due to the fact there is actuallt penalties given.

It doesnt have our Si though im sure gt5 will have it but it does have a honda integra type r(acura rsx r) that feels very much the same and sounds beautiful. I love the crossover of vtec while driving that thing.

I will be buying the top of the line steering wheel from logitech soon. Its a must have. The game is great on the controller but the 250$ top of the line wheel with hyrdaulics pedals and gated shifter with forcefeedback 900 degree motion is going to be amazing.

I recommend anyone with a ps3, a good tv (1080p) and a love for racing sims that this game will not disappoint.

The ONLY con you will find in this game and its only a con because people expect to mod cars now adays even kids who know nothing is that there is no modding in prologue. Yah i said it all cars are stock but there is alot 70 or so cars to choose from. There are Modded cars you can buy like some really sick turbo s2000, the ford gt, skyline of course.

People are complaining that there is no headset or friend matching support. Dont fret! it will be released soon in a patch.

Anyways I didnt even provide that much info but all i can say is i want to play the game and when i dont its because its made me want to drive my car so much. I went back and forth from driving in gt5p to driving my si around yesterday and will probably do the same today.

I have the game too and I think that its ok...the NO modding part sucks but that'll be in GT5...i'll get that one too.

You can "tune" your car when you pass the A Class races and open up the S Class. All the S Class races have "Performance Points" limits so you play around with all the settings like Power, Weight, Camber, Toe, Gearing, etc

VooSi - what are your thoughts on the fact you said it was a good sim. game, when theres no damage , and to me, forza 2 is more realistic.

I think that the S class races and online play would be better with damages not too mention a way of black flagging drivers that intentionaly hit you .

What bothers me the most about the GT series is how detached you feel from the car. To me, the sounds of the engines and exhausts suck. The repetive sounding tire squealing also got to me for some reason. I'm not sure if this has changed in GT5 but somehow, after it staying the same for all games in the series, I doubt it. To top it off, the lack of car damage made it all seem even more fake. I know I have heard rumors that they will be adding damage, but I bet it's just very light damage.

One game that I was impressed by for PS3 was this one:

The cars have interiors and the game's graphics look more realistic than GT's for some reason. GT has an overall too clean look and the cars are too shiny it seems.

I remember playing a game for PC at my friends house. He had a steering wheel with a shifter and pedals. Forgot the name of the game but it rocked. I just recall starting off in the garage before a race and having to pull out of the pits.

i Love it only thing is i hate that fact that you get penalized even if the other car hits you other than that the greatest racing game ever

dude gt5 pro is the best racing game i a have played by far, its so detailed with movements and pitch, dont get me wrong forza is a cool game, and yes there is no damage, but man the graphics and the realism of how the cars respond is amazing, and sorry to say i dont think forza is quite there yet, both great game's but im afraid gt5 takes this one. just my 2cents
