MOTO Q 9 Series Smartphones!!!

I got my Moto Q 9h cell phone last week and I absolutely love it. I got it with the unlimited data plan. This phone can do more than I thought it could. Here's what I like about my new phone so far.
  • The phone comes with Windows Mobile 6.1
  • It can read my work emails from Outlook (even sync's my tasks and contacts) and Gmail right from my home screen.
  • I can create and edit MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zip, and PDF files (for work). It even lets you email these files.
  • It tells me how many voicemails and text messages I have
  • It has Internet Explorer Express and can visit just about any website (8thcivic included)
  • Also comes with Windows Media Player and can use my phone as an MP3 player but the sound is not that great, but it is good enough. It also plays video pretty well.
  • I love the qwerty keys that it comes with and it even has shortcut buttons for my camera, music, contacts and calendar. I has a d-pad too.
  • The camera works really good too. It’s 2 mp and takes video (low quality though). Has good zoom.
  • I downloaded google maps and it works great. It has the street view and the sky view.
  • This phone can even work as a yellow book but better. All you have to do is say what you are looking for and it will find the nearest place to you and it will give you the address and phone # and if you click on the one you want it will pull up the map.
  • It also has traffic monitor which has worked great for me since I drive 80 miles round trip just about everyday on freeways.
  • It will even show you gas prices in most gas stations near you.
  • This phone even came with a 3 day free-trial for XM radio and it worked great. I didn’t buy a subscription though.
  • A full battery lasts from morning till about 12:00 am when it get’s to 2 or 1 bar of battery left. Pretty good considering it has a large screen and I use it a lot for phone calls, emails, text and net.

That’s all I could think of right now and im sure there’s more to be discovered. I haven’t tried any games yet but im sure they work great. I think I read somewhere that it’s even possible to play Nintendo games on this thing.

Anyway, who else has this phone and do you like it????

I have it! Except I have the Moto Q Music 9m Smartphone. I love it, about that XM radio thing, I don't think mine came with that. Also, I went onto some moto q forums and they can view videos from youtube. You have to download some program and instal it and what not. I did but it didn't work, can yours view videos?

you'll love it too when it starts freezing up and shutting down on its own, as well as the battery draining quickly. let us know if you still love it then.

The battery does drain rather quickly, but it's all good. If I start having problems with it, i'll just get a different phone.

I had the original Q, wasn't all that bad but I never used it for smart phone features so it was a waste of a phone. If you're concerned about battery life and don't mind adding a couple millimeters of thickness, the extended battery for the phone works very well. If I got a day out of the phone with the original I got 2 days with the extended.

I got mine in the Fall of 2006 and sold it to some girl a couple months later when I got bored of it but last I knew it was still working fine. People knock on Motorola entirely too much just because the Razr wasn't good.

Well, it's been two weeks since I've had my phone and the battery life remains the same. I havent even touched my extended battery. I surf the web a lot on my Q (especially in the bathroom breaks) and no crash yet. I did have to wait one time for about a minute since it seemed like it was going to crash, but it did what it had to do and was up and running like normal. Still waiting for a crash and hoping the battery life stays the same. I guess im one of the lucky ones.

I actually came from a Razr and thought a lot about getting this phone because it was a Motorola. The Razr was a piece of crap right from the start though and endured it's crap for 6 months until the screen didnt work anymore. Glad I got rid of that piece, but not like I had a choice.

Cool, glad it's working out.

I was thinking of going with a smartphone since I don't really like a lot of phones out there now, but I think I'm just going to go with the Voyager and stay with Verizon. The data plan on the smartphones is double what my minute plan costs, I complain at a $65 bill, I'd flip if it was over $100
