I am running one 8800 and it runs very nicely. However it was BRUTAL on my 8600, so i honestly cant imagine the game even being playable at the minimum system requirements.
Assassins Creed i just got yesterday and have hardly been able to stop playing.
COD4 i played through twice, it was amazing as well.
NFS Pro Street I am slowly getting through, it fills the gap amidst my FPS addiction.
Quake4, BF 2142, TF2, Half Life 2 Episode 2, even FarCry is sitll awesome.

The problem is that you got a PS3
every game that you mentioned is either on the PS3, or sucks, with the exception of FarCry, which is just ok. also, except for NFS and assasins creed you named all FPS games. duh when a PC is better than ANY console for an FPS fan.

and yes, im calling Crysis a sucky game. and no, its not because i have a bad PC, my 8800GT handles it fine.

and Assasins Creed has been out for PS3 way longer than it has for PC. your post just strengthens my opnion that PC + PS3 is the way to go.

I thought NFS Pro Street had great game play (i'm almost done with my second time through) with good graphics to boot. That said, I still think NFS PU had better game play because it was harder. PS has the same feel as PU, but I actually had to try in PU. The only time I loose in PS is when I'm lazy and total the car or the game cheats on Sector Shoot outs.

Crysis is my next game because it came free with my video card, then Half Life Episode 2, and the most recent Metal of Honnor. (i'm a FPS and racing game JUNKIE).

medal of honor airbourne is OK, but its short as hell. and it gets annoying that there seems to be an unlimited amout of enemies that can spawn. its like there are 2 guys left, and you run back behind a corner to recuperate, and you go back, and its like 50 guys again.

i want to get Race 07, but with GT5 prologue only a few days away, i feel ill hardly touch it.

i got the expansion set to Company of Heroes with my video card wtf give the FIRST one.

I thought Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction for the PS3 was a great game. It had great visuals and a fun storyline. Just my $.02

Indeed. FFVII, the Xenogears when it was released probably destroyed my expectations from ever being met on these newer RPGs =\ I got a Xenogears preview disc with some game and was hooked (I seem to recall it being Brave Fencer Musashi).

IIRC, the preview disc on Musashi was FFVII, right?

Xenogears was EPIC. Too bad I underlevelled and got stuck. BLAH! 'Saga just wasn't the same. Shion in part III made up for it though.

Company of Heroes and the expansion are great. The original is better than the expansion to me though

Just wait until CS2.

All Gabe Newell had to say about Cs2 is "...CS2 will be a very important product" hahaha
it's going to be amazing

Quite possible, maybe it came with FFVII... I really cant remember but I had a demo disc. Let you play the beginning with Fei and Elly up to Citan's home.

I've still only played Xenosaga I... I need to snag the others to play but the whole battle system in the first one was AWFUL. The story also seemed REALLY short compared to Xenogears.

The second Saga was terrible, because the level system was clearly out of whack. Ended up just buying the third and reading back on what's happened. The third's battle system is much simpler and also much less "nerfed", especially if you get the last Erde Kaiser summon. Mech battles are also much more engaged and fun, especially with the very different mechs people use.

Remember, Saga was supposed to be originally the continuation of Gears, but since Square kept rights of the original Saga before the team was snatched up by Konami. They still use some of the same concepts and such as Gears, but understandably, things had to change a lot too.

Crysis needs a wicked amount of horse power to run. I have a 2.4ghz quad, 8800 gts (the game came free with the card) 4g DDR2 ram run by 32bit Vista and It won't run on the recomended settings of 8x anti, 1600x1200, and High everything. You would think if a game came free with a video card that that card should be able to run it pretty damn good. Guess I'll have to trun it down. ::sigh::

On a side note, I just got a PS3 as a gift yesterday. The only thing I want to play is GT5.

Yeah, I remember distinctly I was in one of the AS/Mecha fights, but my Mecha were far too underpowered for me to win the boss battle. Pissed me off something fierce, as I didn't bother to make a secondary save slot at any point in the game. LOL.

I've been wanting to pick up Gears again...but, I can't afford the price tag people are asking for it!!

Also, Suikoden I. I *loved* that game...but the price tag associated with buying it is insane, even secondhand!

I fortunately still have a copy of Xenogears :) my original was stolen. The one I had a REALLY hard time finding again for a decent price was Legend of Mana >_>

I *had* an original copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (without the Greatest Hits label on the side) as well as Soul Edge. Soul Edge didn't really gain in value, but it's nice to bring it out when someone "hardcore" to Soul Calibur starts to "brag".

But, I miss my SOTN original copy. Coulda sold it for some cash. Blah!
