webcam question
i didnt pay attention to it when i bought it , but i think its for a usb 2.0 which i think is a faster speed then regular usb, but when i tried installing it on my computer the driver installed fine, then it found the webcam, but said one of those your new hardware was installed properly and may not work properly which it doesnt
its a trust wb-6200p Trust - Megapixel USB2 Wide Angle Webcam Live WB-6200p and i tired installing it on my dell inspiron 9400 there are like 6 usb ports but i tried them all and it didnt work |

Its possible Windows is automatically using a Microsoft supplied driver or a generic one instead of the one from Trust.
Check under hardware manager and try manually updating the driver to the correct one from Trust. Installation seems very straight forward, so there shouldn't be any issues, but obviously there are. I'm not sure if the USB2.0 is an issue or not, but regardless, it should install properly on the 9400 no problems. Otherwise, try exchanging the unit. Best of luck |
