Calling all computer guru's

I have Utorrent and have downloaded a few movies but I have a problem.

I downloaded Divx to convert the files so I would get both sound and picture because before it was only playing sound. Now I am trying to burn them to blank DVD's to play in a normal DVD player and on my Pioneer AVIC-Z2 in my car. Can someone please tell me what to download or what to do to make this work??

Thanks in advance

First thing to establish is: are you downloading avi's or full DVD rips.
avi's are generally 700MB per movie, full DVD rips are about 4.5 gigs.
Judging from the fact you needed DivX i would assume you are downloading 700meg avi's.

dont forget about xvid. between divx and xvid ive never had a problem. and to play them in your car, its likely you need to convert them to a format your player recognizes. in fact, this isnt likely at all... its essential. if its a dvd rip and your player plays dvds, you should have no problem UNLESS you are seeing pal/ntsc issues. dunno if the avic line is region free or what mhz it displays at. also, perhaps you need to just change the avis to mp4s or something. not super certain what does this, although i am pretty sure nero7 and up will...
