Try a different resolution for your display.

Ok cool. Get it to work on the tv again to. Players like Windvd are picky when it comes to resolution.

Yes it should. Are you changing the display output when watching on the tv. You change this by the (Fn) key and (F5) i believe.

Okay, its working this time after resetting the regional codes on either one or the other - that works for me. When I set to only my comp or only the TV it works but sound is only from the comp (even when picture is on the tv)

Do you have a 3.5mm jack on the tv. Audio in options?

Yeah it should work. Have you tried updating drivers? Have you restarted the laptop? Restarts usually fix minor issues.

try going into your sound control panel, or the win dvd options and checkmark something like "use spidf"

Well this error on your screen pretty much says right there that it's HDCP related. "Your display environment does not support protected content playback"

Wish I could help you more, but I don't have experience in this. Read the fine print or do some research on your computer and TV to make sure they support protected content playback.

This sh*t pisses me off SOOOOO Much, I'm ripsh*t for you now man...

You paid for your movie and now you can't watch it on your tv... F*CK Sony, F*CK their BluRay, and F*CK Content Protection....

EDIT: Ahh, looks like you've got it kind of working now, good luck with the sound...
