all first gen electronics **** up horribly. thats how computers, cd players, ipods, etc were when they first arrived on the market. at least your phone didnt die right after the warranty was up like my ipod just did a week ago. hopefully they cant fix yours that way you can get a brand spankin new one all over again. free new shit FTW

update for those interested
i went to the store today ( its 90 miles away) (but i love driving tehe)
so i meet up with an apple tech guy and he looks at it, hooks it up to his laptop, ran a few tests or something
he told me that it was beyond the ability of the store to fix and that he couldn't find the problem. so he pulls out a little white box with no writing on it. this is my phones casket.
he says that apple would like to replace my phone. i said yeah thats fine.
so im rocking a new one.
anyway i conclude with
Apple Customer Service FTW
they were cool with the whole thing.
also when i called customer support at 1-800-mya-pple
i got a hold of some of an english speaking person
the whole thing went pretty smoothly
im pleased
hope this thread may help somebody

BlackBerry Curve ftw, I-phones have a great "wow" factor...but no other PDA can touch BB for durability and ease of use.

The iphone is not fragile. I have dropped mine so many times on the concrete with no casing and it works fine. The screen still has no scratches. I-phone is built like a rock. Durability FTW.
