i'd rather not spend more than 150 or so....200 would be the highest. 100 sounds good to me, i'd go get one today for that price. otherwise i want to make sure i make an informed investment. don't want to buy junk.

Newegg.com - Seagate FreeAgent Pro ST307504FPA1E2-RK 750GB 7200 RPM USB 2.0 / eSATA External Hard Drive - Retail

my reccomendation. this line of seagates does have the 5 year warranty. and it has eSata as well.

There should be a Fry's near you. Check their ad to see sales on HDs. The external enclosure I got was a returned one, so I got it on the cheap. Still works, and it's almost 3 years old.

for $100 your looking at like 320 or 400GB, not 750 or 1TB.

ohh, i don't mind spending the money i just want to get something nice. someone said their setup was 100 and that sounds nice, don't remember how big it was. i'll spend the 200 on a 750 if you guys say they are good.

about that one, the reviews mostly rate pretty low.
