I saw this on TV a little while back.. I think it was in Cali somewhere.. maybe LA. I would think eventually all your info will be transmitted from GPS or maybe RFID. Scary shit.

Funny too how he's a cop and he's not wearing his seat belt while he's driving around, demonstrating the ALPR.

But in all seriousness, that's some crazy ish...

Don't drive around in an unregistered car (which I'm guilty of many times when I used to buy cars every other month) or with a conviction that shows up on their system and you are all set. Normally you take a risk driving like this anyways, but at least before you could drive by a cop and not get caught. It'll prob be a while before it makes it to the US. Who wants to place bets on Cali getting it first

PS. I drove by the sign in your avatar on my way home from Florida last week.

That's straight up awesome and I hope that all police stations in America have this soon.. Hopefully that will stop unlicensed and uninsured drivers from doing whatever they feel like.

Now all they need is a way to hook up an alcohol sensing system that won't let anyone start any car if they've had any alcohol before they try to drive and the roads will automatically be waayyy safer.

Big to Canada.
^that feels weird to say
