No it does not. Look what you pay for a refurb:

Check out the apple store Refurbs - $2100 for a macbook pro

that is worth it in my opinion.

anytime! I can come close to that price to, but I am in canada, and shipping and customs will rape that price!

I was running both until I ran into some problems with Leopard and downgraded back to Tiger.

I run OSX on the entire partition and use VMware to run XP w/20 Gb of space. You can definitely use less space, but I wanted to be able to have some space for the XP desktop and applications.

didn't they just release some a few months back? There are rumors that a new macbook pro might be announced on the Feb 26th apple thingamabob. people are bitching about the black keyboards coming back like on the airbook... I could care less, but would love to see a significant speed bump and blu-ray, but I'm not holding my breath. A SSD hard disk would be sweet too.

^ yea there were some hardware changes late last year on the macbook, but the case itself is 1.5 years old, so I am wondering if i should buy one now or wait to see if a newer model comes out relatively soon.

would be nice if the new macbook had an LED display, backlit keyboard, a standalone graphics card, and was closer to the thickness of the airbook.

MacRumors has a great buyer's guide section that shows when the last update was made to a product and expected next iteration.

they don't always update casing that often, especially if it is successful, look at the Aluminum PowerBook and the MacBook Pro - or the G5 Tower and the Mac Pro - they are still using the same shit. The only reason you should wait is on the basis of more computer for less or equal money To be honest, you could wait forever, since there will always be a better one in 6 months to a year.

I like the MBP design except for no magnetic latch like on the MB. I am waiting for the next update on the MBP line to see if a magnetic latch is put in or not.

yeah i don't see why they don't do that with the mbp's... it's much better then a latch i think, it's not like it's a weak magnet where it'll die over time and you'll have a opening within a year or two.

LOL, the title of the article is really misleading, but it goes through how to hide files on a mac if you read it.

The easiest way is to create an encrypted disk image w/password, but be sure to not save the images' password in keychain.

Otherwise you'll need to rename your files with "." (dots) in front of the name and use terminal to hide and unhide hidden files.

An example is a .ds_store file that can be found in every folder in Finder.
