All machines MUST run the OS they shipped with. The firmware of the machine limits what OS will boot the machine. It is a pain in the ass for me, as I have to have different versions of the OS available (PPC and intel) depending on the machine I am working on.

Machines will work with the OS they shipped with or higher only.

I figured as much.

I just ordered an older model that had Tiger pre-installed.

I just bought this last night along with an InCase sleeve:

I've heard people complain about it causing heat build-up and a lack of proper fitment, but I have to say, I am incredibly happy with it.

There has been no excessive heat or an increase in fan usage. I find it far more comfortable to type on than the keys alone (and it's quiet!). It grips nicely and fits 100%. Typing is 10x better with it on.

That doesn't make any sense to me. Do you have any sources? If I had a new mac running Leopard and wanted to run Tiger on it, I don't see why that would be a problem.

Because Tiger doesn't have kexts for new hardware that comes during the Leopard era.

Sources? I am a Certified Apple Tech, and I own an Apple Store. about 15 years experience. And I verify his comments.

first step is open imovie and import all the footage into the program . . . should ask you automatically when you connect your camera then you can piece the footage together and add music and whatever else you fell like doing

Just got my new macbook-black today. Bought one the day leopard came out and had a bad experience since then with Apple computers. Though I like them for being user-friendly. The experience was just horrible. But now I don't have to deal with it anymore and continue my life and use my macbook :]

black macbook
2.2ghz intel duo-core
2gb ram
250gb
final cut express pre-installed(gonna have to play around with it to get how to exactly use it :P)

and subscribed! haha

shift-cmd-3 to take the whole screen
shift-cmd-4 to take only certain parts of the screen. you can use the pointer to select what you want, or hit the space bar and you can choose certain elements of the screen.

The ppics will be saved to your desktop.
