You can use an iPod ripping program to copy your music off your iPod onto your computer.

I don't have any suggestions for Windows, but there are some that exists, possibly some that are free.

However, in the meantime, do not sync up your iPod with your computer.

MAKE THE SWITCH . . . if the songs where purchased from itunes there is a support number somewhere that you can call and often times the will give you a ONE TIME pass to redownload all the songs you had purchased. . . if they where gotten from somewhere else then as far as i know there is no way to do it other than the ipod rip software

I need to be able to print to some Rip servers that don't have Leopard drivers.

Anyways, I have some retail media of Tiger, but I heard there was never a Universal Binary version Tiger sold in retail, only via OEM when you bought a tower.

Also, I heard firmware versions on new Mac Pros do not allow older versions of OS's to be ran. Apple does not support running older versions of OS's that macs come OEM.

However, I don't have a definite Yes or No answer. Various sources, including Apple Care, Apple Stores and websites give conflicting views.

yea . . . we get people in the store all the time that come in expecting to get stuff or have stuff done that applecare told them they could do and i dont know why they do but for sure you can load tiger on a mac pro. . . when leopard first came out the boxes came with a leopard drop in disc and you had to do the OS upgrade yourself when you got home . . . not to difficult to do . . . however i HAVE heard about servers not having leopard drivers. . . it might be worth hanging on for a while because there may be some support for that on the way . . . it may be worth going to apple.com/support/feedback and requesting that server support. . . all of the new iphone updates where results of customer feedback so its worth mentioning. . . ill ask around the genius room tomorrow to triple check running tiger on the new mac pros

For a while after Oct 17th, the Mac Pros came with the upgrade disc.

The current run of Mac Pro's come with Leopard pre-installed which is what worries me.

You're still thinking Tiger will be able to install, even though it is the older PPC retail version???

Looks good. If it's one thing I love about MacBooks, it's the clarity of their screens.

The clarity of the screen is very nice.

I also am a whore for aesthetics, so I love the glowing apple on the other side.

You mean this?

Screen clarity is awesome. The camera on my phone doesn't do it justice.

Yeah the clarity on Macs rock. I'm currently awaiting for the next revision of Macbook Pro 17's so I can get the 1920 x 1200 resolution, possibly LED screens if available.

cool discovery:

you know how mac is doing that up to date program that lets you upgrade to leopard if you bought you compy in october or later? well i bought mine in august (completely out of the deadline), and i went on the site and filled everything out, and said i bought it on october 5th. i even put in my real serial number and they sent me leopard anyways.
