I recently upgraded to a new LG phone as well, but opted for Venus instead. I love the new LG phones, but Venus really grabbed my attention (also I got it for $99). Venus has a touch screen too, and works flawlessly. That said I can't imagine Voyager being much different in that respect.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy the new phone. IMO you really can't go wrong with LG phones....they have all been great to me. |

Owned the Venus.. didn't like it. Tried the Voyager and wasn't sold on it either, touch screen seemed to have the same gimmicks that I was experiencing with the Venus. Based on the touch screens, the Voyager doesn't come anywhere near the iPhone simply because it's two different technologies. Speaker quality and the full physical keyboard would be of the few things I'd give it over the iPhone.
But comparing the two is rather pointless, since as Verizon users, we can't get the iPhone and the AT&T users can't get the VX-10000. As far as current phones out for Verizon though I'd count it as one of the tops. I was very close to getting it myself but I got to play with a live version a few days before it was released and at that point it was just an over glorified EN-V, that and I already have an iPod Touch. Went with the Venus instead, it was cool for about a week but the touch screen was a pain in the ass to get used to since only half the phone worked on it, then by the time I got proficient enough with it the phone couldn't handle that speed and the response with the touch pad would be horrible. Not to say there's anything really wrong with the Voyager, I'm sure if I didn't have the iPod I'd have the Voyager now but for the price it didn't seem to offer much more than any other Verizon phone did... for fractions of the price you could get an LG 9400 and have the mobile tv, navi, all the vcast, etc. without the keyboard or the EN-V and have the keyboard, navi and all the vcast just without mobile tv. |

hmmm that's interesting. I wonder if yours was messed up or something my touchscreen is flawless, and has been since the day after launch when I made the original purchase. I absolutely love how easy the Venus functionality works. Kind of weird it happened to both phones you owned though. I still say LG phones are amazing, and I have had an LG (different models of course) for 6 years or so. I still don't have one complaint. |
