Edit: Went ahead and got a 16 gb Ipod touch.
I have a 4th gen Ipod? It hardrive is damaged so its time for a new Ipod!Went to the apple store and checked out the new Ipod touch and classic. The classic is nice, has a lot of space 80gb compared to my current 20. But compared to my ipod, the screen is really hard to see if the bac is off. Its a good $150 cheaper then the itouch, about the only plus I can think of. The Ipod Touch is just amazing, I want it. But it costs $400. Does anyone here have one? How do you like it? Any problems? Should I pony up for the awesome itouch, or be cheap and get a lot of space with the classic? Thanks, Tpofa Last edited by tpofa-07LX; 11-10-2007 at 02:58 PM. Reason: Got a touch. |

Yeah, i like the touchs abilities, but i have 35+ gigs of music and i want it all. I wished they would just make all ipods touch ability...i really dont need the net on my ipod though, just the touch screen...
course, i wouldnt have this problem if some ***** didnt steal my ipod while my back was turned. |

I have the touch... it's amazing. You can get the 8gb for $300 if the money is that much of an issue. Should get you about 2000 songs I think. If you have more than 2000 songs just rotate what you have on there, I doubt you'll ever be anywhere for a long enough time that you'll have to listen to them all, especially on one battery charge.

Got a 160Gb Classic, talk about not ever having to worry about running out of space (like on my old 60Gb Video iPod). The Touch is a million times better except that its capacity is pathetic for anybody with an extensive collection.

It depends on what you want to do with the iPod. My friend loves her iPod Touch, but I'm not a huge fan of it. It looks gorgeous, but its interface is a bit hard to get used to.
If you don't need a lot of space (or cycle out songs often), get the iPod Touch. If you need a lot of space or regularly upload full CDs and such, get the classic. |

i got an 8gb ipod touch from Costco with a 90 day return policy and no restocking fee. I am just going to use it until the LG Voyager comes out for verizon than i am going to return it. It is a sweet idea but not worth the 300-400 dollars for 16 gigs. I would much rather buy the iphone instead for the $400

Hmmmm. Cant go to next song if itouch is in my pocket.... Classic is looking more appealing....... 8gb itouch and rotating songs, smart.
Dunno, eny-meny-miny-mo might be a deciding factor on this one (Jk)

160 classic all the way...... cheaper, i am guessing you will mainly be using it for music, and maybe a couple of movies. i would get a touch if it had more gb but 8 or even 16 naahhh.. not worth it, atleast not to me

Just curious (People who have an iphone)after the service plans and everything, how much does the iphone cost? $400 for the iphone + at least $720 for the 2 year service plane = about $1150 right?
Probably gonna get a classic when I get the money. |

I love how people dog on the 16gb like they actually listen to 16gb of songs in more time than they have to get back to their computer again and upload different songs. I've got 1500 songs, 2 full length movies, full episodes of Prison Break, K-Ville and a bunch of episodes of 30min tv shows and I'm not over half the 15.xxx capacity of the flash drive.

Love my iPod Touch 8GB..........I have about 1500 songs on it right now, and it's VERY easy to use. My grandpa just got an iPod Classic 80GB.......and it's such a PITA to use, I hate it!!!
I don't bother with movies on my touch.......but I LOVE using WiFi for internet browsing. It's great, no laptop required

I just bought a 8gig 3rd gen Nano from apple.ca
with taxes cost me 240 dollars. Canadian dollars!! So thats like 300 USD!! LOL kidding probably 250 usd. This is my first Ipod ever and I love it!! Also, my first portable music playing machine. The reason I dont get classic for only a tiny bit more money is because of size. I have to have a tiny mp3 player for when I work out or run. Also when walking in between classes it has to fit in my jean pockets without making me uncomfortable. Dam designer jeans with tiny pockets that hold very little. But if you really want the itouch I say get it....I put all my music that I collected from my computer(for the last 5 years) on my ipod and I have 5 gigs left....lol only 450 songs right now. But I only keep songs on my computer that I can listen to more then 100 times. So each song I keep is epic and I truely love it. Just my 2 cents from a fellow Ipod user!!!!! itouch gogogogo |
