Halo 3 Limited Edition (Metal Box)

Im sooo steamed at walmart right now. I got up this morning and say my local walmart had lots of copies of Halo 3 limited edition. So I pick one up get home pop it in...the game freezes on me because of a scratch. So I take it back to walmart and exchange it. I check the game before I drive off...the back looks a little better, but not by much. I would have gone right back in there but it started to get busy and I didn't want to wait. So Im going to spend today playing halo to see if the scratches and messes up the game play. If it does I will be at walmart first thing to demand a new copy and one that isnt scratched.

So anyone that has bought Halo 3 in the metal box noticed any scratches, maybe from shipping or stocking and the little center holder looking like a pos? That was my first thought on how it could have happened.

YUP! mines the same too.. theres a site where they tell bout the center hub not holding the game and as you have seen and i have. the disk just flops around and has scratches... : (

Gotta go get my copy on hold and make sure THAT one isnt scratched

This was a widespread rumor on the xbox forums. Guess it wasn't a rumor. Sorry it happened to u2 and best of luck in getting it resolved

Damn, I knew I could have been the only one. I know Mircosoft is trying to save money since nearly all the xbox's are defected, but they could have sprung for a little better packaging with the metal boxes...look at the Band of Brothers box, thats like the halo one, cept you know...BETTER!

I would be pissed too If i got home last night and my copy was scratched up. I'm Glad my Legendary Edition wasn't messed up. The Helmet is

My mom asked me at 9:30 last night which edition i was going to get, I told her the limited. She asked if that was the one with the helmit...I laughed and said I wasnt that much of a nerd. Guess Im the one caught with my dick in my hands.

But, its still good that microsoft was on top of that and we can replace our discs.

And anyone still playing it noticed that this game is hard as F**K! Im on heroic and getting pwnd. I feel like I have to walk slowly, crouch oftern, and hide to avoid death and frustration.

Lol I remember the same problem occuring with the HALO 2 collectors edition. It only came with a single cd holder for two discs. So you have to put one in normally and then place the second disc upside down on top of it so it wouldnt get scatched up. SERIOUSLY YOU'D THINK THAT IF YOU SPENT EXTRA ON THE GAME, THEY MANAGE TO PONY UP FOR UP FOR A BETTER CARRYING CASE.

ya i got mine last night and it was floating around in the case when i opened it. it has a little scratch on it... i played it for a few hours that night and i had no problems. Wow the game is amazing!!! way smoother than halo 2. Some of us should party up and play some games together. Send me a PM with your name and we could join up.

Yeah, everyone needs to bump up their achievement points with this. I was thinking earlier today, amazing in halo 3 and thinking how awesome it will look when my dad gets his new HDTV...which I will probably pick out...but Halo 1 looked better than #2 did and #3 jumps drops me jaw.

UPDATE.... I beat the game on heroic last night on co-op with a couple friends. It was alright last level is pretty fun... On well I got it mainly for multiplayer anyway.
