wireless ps3...

im sure some of you with ps3 have had the same issue where it randomly disconnects you but howd you fix it? i have a linksys wrt54g or somethin like that runnin a wpa setting. xbox360 and computer work perfect with no issues and have latest firmware for router and ps3... ant ideas here? really sucks loggin back in all the damn time. also only happens at ps3 idle if i do make it to the download or the game i stay connected no problems

Just ran into this, so I don't know if you fixed yet or not, but try turning off "Media Discovery" or whatever it's called. In network settings, you'll find it enabled. I believe that fixed it for some people. Seems to happen mostly on Linksys and Netgear. Fun stuff!

figured it out. had to do some shizzz with the dmz!@!!!

Cool! I heard some people were having problems even adding it to the DMZ... Right now my PS3 is hijacking someone else's "LINKSYS" wireless connnection becuase my old D-Link is....old.

thanks man... so far though i still like my xbox360 online much much better. but have the ps3 online is free

i hook up my 360 and ps3 to the router, I don't use the wireless router for them. I don't want to be playing a game online and then get dropped because my router dropped me. The only thing I use my wireless router for is my computer.

never been dropped by my xbox and since i figured out the ps3 i havent been dropped
