Yeah...its more of a "thin and light desktop replacement". The Ultraportable in the ThinkPad line is most certainly the X Series.

yeah but the dell doesnt deliver the the battery life that i am looking for...upwards of 6 hours. Dell does however have one that stretches 10+ hours which is pretty bomb...if you ask me.

yeah but its got like the excelletn battery life for its size and power class. if you want an ultra portable notebook with 6 hours. your gonna need to get something like a vaio TZ which you will sacrifice speed.

I built my computer from the ground up! Here is my ultimate piece of shit Budget Computer Setup,
all in all this computer costed me 280$

-Old tower sitting in my attic
-KDS p.o.s. monitor 19'' flatscreen
-Socket A - Chaintech Mobo with second version of nForce
-AMD 2800+ xp overclocked to 2.8 gigs
-ATI Raedon x300 pro (I scammed CompUSA. I had a Raedon 9250 that I got for 50$, and I bought a x300 pro for like 249$ at the time, then swapped in the 9250, returned it. )
- Like 768mb d.d.r. ram, just random ram sticks i pieced together from older comps
-A terrible and very old 40 gig seagate H.D. ( I think the speed is like 4800 rpms??)
-Sound Blaster Audiology 2.1
-"Accent" 5.1 Surround Sound speakers (best 30$ speaker set I have ever bought)
-Big Typhoon heatsync/fan, and artic silver 5 for cooling.
-Extra "PCI" card fitted fan to keep gfx card cool.
-Random extra fan inside to keep mobo cool
-Terrible old ethernet card

Never had system problems, runs anything like a champ! (all of todays high demanding games, adobe CS3 runs easily, just sucks that its not 64 bit.)
