I can't get on multiplayer for some reason.

yep the menu is basically ur up arrow in game, just press the up arrow on the pad and it will bring up ur cell phone and theres multiplayer

I need to go buy this. Maybe after finals. But I just dropped a lot of money on a Wii with Smash Brothers and MarioKart, so I'm a little hesitant.

i bought this last night or better yet early this morning.. had to stand in line at the local game store to purchase... Anyhow, I haven't played it yet.. and heard a whole lot of people saying that it's not all that good... My ps3 is packed up and at my other house because I'm moving this week.. So I can't even play the game till sometime next week..

I think it is the greatest game ever, but everyone has their own opinions. I have 22 hours already played. so that is enough right there to tell you how much I like it.

Great game. The beginning is sweet. Like watching a movie, and really sets up the game play well. About 3 hours in, and loving every minute! GTA in HD FTW!

Picked the game up yesterday as well. It seems pretty good. Feels very familiar compared to the old GTA's. Haven't gotten that far yet though.

I only messed around in multiplayer a little. Someone earlier mentioned it threw them into random games which seemed to happen to me too. Nomar and I just went around and terrorized the city which was fun. Every time we tried to pick a custom game made if kept throwing us into a lobby with a bunch of people and then I'd end up back in the game along. I am not sure how that all works. It seems like cops aren't in multiplayer which is kinda nice if you don't want to be harassed but Nomar and I wanted to have them chase us and see how long we could last. I am not sure if you can enable them or what. At one point we both found Infernuses. They have Zonda exhausts and backfire when they shift, it's cool.

I'd really like a cops and robbers based chase game where you have to hunt down people in cars and whoever taps them become a cop and so on. I loved that mode in Midtown Madness 3, probably because I was soo good at it. It was really exciting to have 7 other players all trying to corner and catch you in D.C. while they drove Crown Vics I and I drove a koenigsegg

I do kind of miss how huge San Andreas was. I know this game is much more "Dense" than San Andreas but still it was fun to get on the highways that went all around the city, jump in a jet and fly from one side to the other, and enjoy the variety in terrain. This game is pretty much all city. A helicopter can fly from one end to the other in under a minute it seems like. No jets, not that they'd be practical in a city of this size.

For a while I wanted to see how long I could go without killing someone. Unfortunately I was driving an SUV and accidentally hit a ramp and flew into the air and crash down on top of some people about 5 minutes in. Wups...

I will say it is sooooo nice to finally have a GTA that wasn't made with the constraints of the PS2 in mind.

This game feels very similar to the other 3D GTA games... there are of course tons of improvements but when I started playing it, it still fealt like it. I think the biggest thing that sets this one apart is the story. I love the interactivity with the city as well there's so many small things that really make it seem believable. I was pulling out of Roman's office slowly and ended up hitting some guy carrying a bag of groceries. When he fell down he dropped his bag and all the contents spilled on the ground. Of course I shot him afterwards for scratching my paint lol.

I played multiplayer for about 30 minutes last night and so far I'm not the most impressed with it; but it still seems a little buggy too. On the whole I just kept dying since you always start with a handgun and it seemed everyone else never died and always had an SMG or automatic rifle. It could be attributed to the fact that it was the first time I played online.

That's GTA in a nut shell.

Unfortunately some places people do get shot for such trivial reasons.

At least we prefer to keep our violent crimes confined to video games.

Yea I didn't know how well the multi-player with work with this game so I wasn't really hoping for the best on that issue...

this game is awesome! I'm trying to play people online but it keeps me in solo mode, Im sick of murdering innocent people...... I want some real live challengers! I played earilier against 6 people, lost whenever I came into contact with another players, but it is crazy! I love it, Ok, time to go make sexy time with my girl michelle, if she will let me again, after I murdered 2 people while she was hanging at the bowling alley with me, hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Gonz, if you want to terrorize the city and have the cops after you, go into multiplayer>Free for all (or free mode, somethin) and then it's on! I am still getting the rest of it figured out though for multiplayer..
