Apple doesnt have any excuss for not including iChat, i agree that thats probably one of the worst points about the iPhone. As for the voicemail and 'buggy' sms system, i have no idea what you are talking about, both work great for me.

I havent gotten any errors yet and my Safari crashes maybe once or twice a week... considering that my Internet Explorer crashes multiple times every day on my PC, its a nice change.

If you stopped talking **** for once and read then you would know that Apple is planning on unlocking the iPhone/Touch in a couple weeks along with a official SDK (Source Developers Kit) which will allow devolopers to legally produce native software for the iPhone.

There are repeat options, you're just retarded. (Read your manual)
hmmm where's the repeat option? Show it to me
BTW, thanks for waking me up yesterday at 3am with a txt msg LOL
Oh yeah, you can't compare a webbrowser such as internet explorer that can handles everything you throw at it to a mobile apple web-browser that you can't really do much since it doesn't support many things.
That's comparing apples to oranges.
Compare how many times internet explorer mobile or opera mini/mobile crashes and then how many times safari mobile crashes.
That's be a big let-down for stability with apple.
I wouldn't talk **** if i didn't know the iphone is actually overrated. Got myself a blackberry and mogul to compare and truthfully, 399 for an iphone is theaf in the progress LOL
Oh well, at least i'll utilize it as an ipod.

Play a song, then click the screen. A little window will pop open at the top with a little slider so you can skip around the song. To the left of the slider you will see the repeat option button.

I'm assuming this forum doesn't have a general classifieds section to sell non car related items huh? I have a 4GB iPhone for sale that my wife no longer uses. How do I go about posting it here without breaking the rules?

Same here.. I used to do hacks for friends but it got annoying. With all the info available online these days it's so easy to do on your own.

So my phone just crashed.... I can get an apple sign on the screen but nothing happens after that. Do I just need to hook it up an restore it in itunes?

It's not jailbroken or anything....

Seems like people have had great success with this and I'll be giving it a go next weekend when I pick up a used iPhone for $100

I jailbroke my ipod touch 8G that I bought from a friend for $200.. again

I'll probably sell that though if the iphone deems reliable enough for me.

Thanks for the link!

just remember that if you restore you lose EVERYTHING e.g. contacts, songs, voicemails, texts etc.
Hopefully the last time you synched it created a back up history.

also, make sure that before you update your iphone to the latest version that you make sure that your itunes is up to date as well. I had to restore my cell twice, because I forgot to do it

Had a friend bring his 2 day old iPhone in today. I used the above mentioned program and literally 3 mins later the iphone was unlocked and capable of 3rd part downloads. So easy.

Alright folks, new rumor going around thanks to Buisness Week. They claim they have a inside source that says the iPhone SDK will be one to three weeks late. Personally i am disapointed but hopefully this will mean there wont be any bugs in the new release.
