I mainly meant T-Mobile for the US and other companies in other countries. I can't confirm Alltel or Sprint, but believe it does not work. I know Verizon does not work.

Sorry, I always assume people get what I'm talking about, I have this problem with my brain. Once you jailbreak it, you can unlock it.

Also, my first post in this topic, I got my iPhone on July 1st, waited a couple days trying to decide if I really wanted one or not.
haha I got mine July 1st as well. It was my bday!

verizon, sprint and cingular use CDMA phones.
example is the voyager and HTC Touch. They are cdma phones which are another version of the europeans, which in term over there in europe, every phone uses a simms card. The Prada LG and htc Touch use a simms card.
only simms card providers in the USA are tmobile and at&t.

How do you change the desktop wallpaper I'm on the iPhone right now and each letter I type there's a sort of delay/freeze I have never experienced before

I am assuming you are talking about the iPhone: Settings > Wallpaper > Have at it.

That's usually dependant on the website you are on. At least that's what I have noticed.

You can't change the desktop wallpaper. The only wallpaper you can change is the standby one-the one that shows up right before you slide to turn on the phone. If you want to change the wallpaper behind the menu icons-you can't unless you jailbreak the phone.

I get that delay freeze too. Maybe it's because we type too fast? dunno

haha no it's the desktop wallpaper but you can't do that either with the new firmware.
The websites i used to visit with the 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, there wasn't such delay when typing but now, there is.

It uses cell phone towers and known hot spots to triangulate your position. The accuracy is based on how many towers and/or hot spots you are near. If you live in a dense area, then its pretty accurate.

I think it picks up on everyone in the area and the more there are the more accurate it is. Not sure about that though.
