I guess the update server was just busy, mines finally running 1.1.3!

Also a little note to anybody that has a jail breaked phone that wants to update, this will disable anything you have done.

The first thing it does during the update process is back up all of your personal information, so all hope isnt lost.

It did complete that part I think..but where does it back it up to?

The phone is currently restoring and being updated....so it says.

EDIT: nope..won't even restore...says "An uknown error has occured. Phone cannot be restored"

Once everything is complete it will hopefully be designed well enough to put all of your personal information back, keep us updated.

Yes, as someone stated earlier MAKE sure that your itunes is updated before you update your iphone. I did that with the last two updates lol. The first time it froze and I had to take it to the Apple store and the second time I had to restore it!
It is a pain...again
Update itunes BEFORE you update your iphone!
I've already changed the icon arrangement. pretty cool, hopefully they'll add more stuff ....

like change the home page backround huh striker

Updated mine to 1.1.3 yesterday. Love that I can get a full screen of icons now instead of an uneven iTunes button on the bottom right. I'm a little OCD.

I didn't really want to jailbreak again since I knew 1.1.3 was coming out. I did the launcher update at 1.1.1, then 1.1.2 came out and wiped everything, sorta lost my interest after that. Too much work, and I'm lazy.

Also, my first post in this topic, I got my iPhone on July 1st, waited a couple days trying to decide if I really wanted one or not.

What is this Jail broke people speek of? I love my IPhone. I'm listening to music on it right now while at work on the forum. Any real difference between 1.1.2 and 1.1.3?

Jailbreaking was so you could use the phone with other companies such as T-Mobile, also allowing you to download things like Launcher to install non-webapps to be used, like games and such.

GPS tracking-like (I put like because it's not actually GPS tracking) google maps to pinpoint where you are. Basically, it triangulates signals between cell towers to try and pinpoint you, so it's not GPS. You can move and add buttons to your homescreen, my favorite of course. Those are the big ones I think, oh, and you can now text to multiple people at the same time saving a lot of time.
