yeah but only if your in an area with a fast connection.. if hes roaming around town.. 90% of the time hes getting slooooooooooow speeds.

the iphone is like a hooker in the red light district, its nice to look at and cool to tell your friends about, but once you have it you realize it doesnt live up the all the hype

It's easy for someone to bash it without even owning it, i'm considering buying it but would like some valid user's experience, considering it just came out two days ago, that's going to be hard to find for a while.

it will be hard since its only been 2 days. also the people who do have one, are people who would have bought it regrdless, because the waited in line so long for something theyve never seen. your best bet is expert reviews.

I picked 1 up.. pretty cool ass phone.. Didn't have to get in line ftmfw. My friend is a manager at apple. =)

Too bad you can't bridge connections... EDGE + ad-hoc WiFi + GPRS

I was not sold on it either, really i am a mac nut and was going to let it pass, my son woke me up yelling iphone day! iphone day!...he is 23,,,, i needed a new macbook so went to appple on the way through a small town we saw a ATT sore with 15 ppl in line and it was 430....so we stopped..she the storeclerk while in line handed me the demo to play with, was sold bought 3 altogether , me my son and his fiancee.....if it lasts me a year... i will be happy:) the next big thing is around the corner....

If I were you bro, I would definitely look at either a blackberry or a palm treo. The palm has been out for quite a while and has been tested over and over again and usually gets a fairly good review.


My main problem with the iphone is that it's marketed at smartphone prices, with a smartphone look, they made it sound like it was going to be a smartphone... but it has no freakin smartphone capabilities. Like I said before, I can browse the web at broadband speeds anywhere that I have a connection, I've got a touchscreen that's good to go, a full keyboard that unless you have fat fingers is easy to use, a removable battery, external memory, etc. etc. etc. etc. The list goes on and on. Not to mention the fact that there's no third party software which means that apple can charge an arm and a leg for simple things, whereas I might find a program for my treo for $60 and then turn around and find another program that's similar for $20.

Don't get me wrong, for a cell phone the iphone seems kick ass (minus the price), but for a smart phone..




I would really love it if:
A) apple improved this thing and it turned out to be a badass phone
B) they cut the price in half and give it something like a $250 w/2 year plan and activation

no i dont have one, because after playing with one at an att store and reading the expert reviews and just looking at its overall lack of features im gonna spend half the price and get the more capable 8525
