reason being is i tried to unlock my 1st gen iPhone so i could sell it for more on ebay. long story short, i screwed it up and now i cant get it to restore even in dfu mode, so im hoping i can bring it to a genius bar and just get a new one...somehow i doubt im going to be able to do that...
I think I know how to help you on that one.

Is it stuck in DFU mode where you can't turn it off and iTunes won't recognize it?

figured it out! it was software version 2.0 so unlocking it had some issues which ultimately bricked my phone beyond any repair ive done so far. I actually had to downgrade my itunes from 7.7 to 7.5, put it into dfu mode so the computer would recognize it to restore it, then instead of restoring it back to 2.0 i had to restore it to 1.1.4 and then correct the bandwidth...it was a long process to say the least, but now i have an unlocked and jail broken iphone to put up on ebay!

thanks for trying to help civicex08, i appreciate it!

Dynolicious - Auto Performance Meter for iPhone and iPod - $13 bucks from the App Store. I havent tested it out much, but so far it seems well designed and capable.

Review - Driving Sports: Dynolicious turns iPod or iPhone into a low cost dyno

Ill give it a full test soon and see how accurate it is. But maybe some other users might be interested.

Not yet anyways. I talked to T-Mobile and they're coming out with some sort of 3G phone soon when they launch 3G this year. It'll be in 20 big cities this year for testing so you may be lucky. I know Chicago is one of them but that's all I know. In other words, an iPhone 3G may be more useful later.

just went for a couple test runs with the dynolicious..took me awhile to figure everything out..u have to calibrate it and make sure u have ur vehicle weight in order to get ur hp numbers..u also have to make sure it isnt moving while ur in ur run...so i had my gf pin it to the seat as best as she could..the speed was a little off and it said i only put down 163hp..07 fg2 sri/dcrh/s2 70mm...so i would say its off...hopefully...ima play a little more tomarrow

I don't think so. I was talking to a representative about 3G on T-Mobile and they sounded like it was a data speed.

yea i would think it would be. it would be hard for it to be exact without being able to be hard wired in.
