I remember reading that iTunes must be open too so I always had it open. You open up the software and than click the jailbreak button. It'll unlock it automatically.

ZiPhone isn't that great... use iLiberty instead. You can select to modify your boot loader and restore it in case something goes wrong. IIRC, ZiPhone permanently modifies the boot loader and will make it more difficult to revert back to the original state.

No, that's not true. It takes 3 minutes to load it back to it's original state. You must of used it incorrectly.
