I love my Pearl. I will admit though, to really staring at the iPhone, especially if they come out with the business software that they said they would.........

sporting a 8800 here. :) i got mine like a week after it was released in the US under
cingular last year, right about this time.

it's a nice unit, i luv mine. goes with me EVERYWHERE. you guys get the charging
cradle? those are real nice... perfect fit, no need to hook up your usb each time.
also charges my back up battery.

also downloaded HK's vodaphone software so that i can read japanese
emails.

I forgot about this thread...

yeah I use email and pin messaging now... they had a good deal on it in Canada - $15 a month for unlimited email + pin - better than the $25 a month for 4 emails/ 4mb or whatever the plan was.

I have my pearl and like it a lot, but I think I want a curve - I'm getting tired of the more cramped keyboard. I would like a curve with wifi on it.

Love my BB. I bought the VZW Pearl the weekend it came out. Out of the 20+ phones i've had, this has def been the most reliable, fun phone i've owned. 317b19a2 = pin

Can't you just buy a phone and unlock it?

I was thinking of doing that for a Curve with WIFI for Rogers if it doesn't come out soon, but it seems the new models will be coming out in the fall - gonna wait to see what comes out :)

Didn't know his thread existed. Put me on the CrackBerry list had 8100 Pearl for about a year now. Love it...only issue is IT'S SOOOO SLOW--needs a faster chip or w/e. That, and I've experienced iPhone web browsing--'nuff said

BTW Has anyone seen the rumored/semi-confirmed 9000/8xxx?

Early spy shot.

Spotted in the wild.

I used to have a Blackberry... oh well, I'm not important enough to have one :) They're great but addicting, I was carrying that thing and emailing EVERYWHERE (not family friendly that's for sure).

Don't buy a Blackberry without the full standard keyboard (I know it makes them big and ugly) unless you have little girl fingers and used to predictive typing on a numberpad.

Do any of you have insurance thru your provider? Check out this site for cases. They make a big difference.

Yeah the Curve for Sprint doesn't come out till the middle of this month. The reason why I wanted to switch from AT&T to Sprint was because I can get onto their SERO plan which is like $30/month for 500 min, free text and data plan. I'm paying $30/month with AT&T right now but that's cause I have an old grandfathered plan from back when AT&T was their own company separate from Cingular. My plan is cheap but I have no frills, no text, no data.

I'm just waiting for the new Blackberry Curve to come out cause the Blackberry I want offered from Sprint has no camera phone. The Curve is supposed to be the next upgrade, I just have to wait for it to come out. I'm only used to AT&T and their sim card system, I have no clue how to buy an unlocked phone and get it working with Sprint. If anyone knows that would be great.
