compusa out of business sale

just went to compusa cause my cousin said there going out of business. he was right well most of it not all stores are closing only a certain percentage. the one near my house was one of them so everything must go. find out if the one near you is closing you can get some good deals in there. just got a 19" monitor today. woohoo! just a little heads up.

I doubt the 19" monitor is for his car. But, this might be a good chance for people to get a cheap PC card for their navi systems.

heh i work at compusa here in jax, fl. Out of 210 stores nationwide, they closed 115. So theres probably lots of sales going on around the country. Some of the smaller stuff is going to be liquidated, but from what i hear around my store, is that most of the bigger and more expensive stuff is going to be shipped to the remaining stores. So check out your local CompUSA and see what deals you can find

Not surprise! There a CompUSA across town. Every time I enter the store. I see more sale persons than customers. Just hope it don't close.....

They've sucked for a long time now, but I doubt that the owner will lose his place as the third richest man in the world, even if they do downsize or go under.

Haven't liked CompUSA for a while. I bought my video card there over a year ago and it was a horrible shopping experience. The sales team (yes I had 3 of them trying to answer my questions) didn't know what they were talking about and didn't even know there were different versions of DVI. Finally I had to do research online and go back there to buy what I needed as they couldn't help me. I try to stay away from small items like this at Micro Center as they're even more expensive but at least know what they're talking about. I could go for some Ram, might go see what they have.

I worked there..... If you shopped there most likely you got screwed.

We sold a warranty (called Tap) stupid I know.... Bt they used to mark up machines and when ethe customer did not want teh warranty they woudl sell it at an inflated price do a return and repurchase it with a warranty. So you paid for the warranty you did not want. They only did that to computers that we only carried. There were stickers on the tags red meant we had over 200 to play with. Sometimes they porked people for over $400.

5 years of my life wasted in high school and college

A little warning - I just read that CompUSA is not honoring rebates on products purchased at closing stores.
